Dusty Chalk Posted September 25, 2013 Report Posted September 25, 2013 Anneke, Drive -- probably my favourite genre of music right now -- hard pop, for lack of a better term -- love love love that guitar tone in "The Best is Yet to Come" -- just perfectly underbiased fuzz.

Dusty Chalk Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 No, not watching, just listening -- it's just a dude in a hat, but I kind of like the fact that "just a dude in a hat" makes trippy spaced out electronica

Dusty Chalk Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 Big Big Train, English Electric: Full Power -- basically, both the English Electrics plus another 4 (18+ minutes) of bonus tracks from this very British old school contemporary prog band concentrating on strong melody, harmony, and chord progressions. Not very hard at all, but not so AOR as, say, contemporary Marillion.
TMoney Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 (edited) Out of curiosity, Voltron, as a fellow Bay Area resident have you ever been to the Church of St. Coltrane? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_coltrane#Religious_figure Edited September 30, 2013 by TMoney
