Currawong Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 I've been rather smitten with the high-res version of Getz / Gilberto (Most well known for The Girl from Ipanema). The recording itself isn't that amazing, but the sax playing is. The songs are mostly Gilberto singing for a minute or two, then Getz singing the rest with his sax. Astrud, who sings on a couple of the tracks, has a voice that could melt steel. Quote
