MoonShine Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Bingo. Maybe someone should start a slower political forum thread that the rest of us can not look at ... It's only annoying and boring if they are making fun of your views.
Voltron Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Bingo. Maybe someone should start a slower political forum thread that the rest of us can not look at ... No need for any rules or special political threads here. Wayne can say political stuff is annoying and boring, then post political stuff. You can call him on it and various others can chime in. I can ignore it and look at the funny pictures I want to look at. This is Head-Case, so everybody should just roll with it.
blessingx Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) That's how we roll. Edited January 25, 2012 by blessingx
Wmcmanus Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 While playing BS Bingo is fun, and at the risk of misinterpreting dsavitsk's intent, I think he was pointing out the conflicting message you are sending regarding posts about politics. When I said. "Exactly" what I was really trying to say was this:

The last thing we need on Head-Case is some Head-Fi-like "no political discussion" rules. The next thing to follow is artificial forced niceness and the disallowal of terms like "fuck nugget" and "yak felcher." Besides the creepy ass mod editing of my posts, the single biggest factor that drove me from Head-Fi was the toxic environment of faux politeness.
dsavitsk Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Fair enough -- my interest, agreeing with Wayne in the first place I think, is not civility, it is boringness.

I love a place where everybody's sittin' around on the patio in lounge chairs next to a cooler with a beer in one hand and a paint ball gun in the other, and we can say anything we want and suffer the consequences.
Grahame Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 Beer and PaintBall ? sounds like this? http://www.pissup.com/sofia/tours/activities/856 Welcome to Head Case.
Craig Sawyers Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 I'll go with the opponent at the top, if it is OK with you
