Tyll Hertsens Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 ( use insert media , the three overlapping windows icon on the right. The tag is now [ media ] not video as before ) Hm. I did that. Do you put the YouTube page URL in there, or the embed code? Sorry for the noise ... I'll try to make it up .. ... how about this? Ahhhhhhhhh! Nevermind.
Knuckledragger Posted January 22, 2011 Author Report Posted January 22, 2011 (edited) Just the URL. This software is a bit better at parsing video URLs that VBulletin was, though it doesn't automagically fetch the titles of normal URLs like VBulletin did. Imagine Yakety Sax playing. Edit: Screw it. Here it is: Edited January 22, 2011 by Knuckledragger

HeadphoneAddict Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Embedded videos are still a problem for iDevices. It's nice if you can include a link along with the embedded video.
manaox2 Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Embedded videos are still a problem for iDevices. It's nice if you can include a link along with the embedded video. Flash is still a problem for iDevices you say? Aww.
The Monkey Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Just sent that to my brother. I love how crazy everyone goes. I would do same.

HeadphoneAddict Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 iDevices? seriously? Yeah, WTF is wrong with not wanting to type out iPhone/Touch/iPad? Flash is still a problem for iDevices you say? Aww. Clicking on a standard link to the video will open the YouTube app on the iPhone/Touch/iPad, but clicking on where the embedded video should be wont work. To play one of those videos on an iPhone/Touch/iPad one has to quote the post to see the link, copy the link out of the quoted text, and paste the link into Safari address bar to open it. I usually end up just waiting until I get home and can view it on my computer because it's such a PITA. (Fitz, do I have to spell out PITA too, because that would be a real pain in the ass?)
Fitz Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Yeah, WTF is wrong with not wanting to type out iPhone/Touch/iPad? iDunno Fitz, do I have to spell out PITA too, because that would be a real pain in the ass? I'm sure if you were to forcibly insert it into your anus that would be a real PITA too.
mypasswordis Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Just sent that to my brother. I love how crazy everyone goes. I would do same. I would as well. Another one you or your brother might like (but NSFW) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-syVw7Ojq0

You can browse the less media-intensive parts of H-C on your mobile device and save the Slow until you're on a proper computer. Certainly that's much easier than trying to convince other head casers to post a URL along with an embedded video. Oldie but goodie. Edited January 24, 2011 by Knuckledragger
