Actually I'm in Woosta. It's cold and wet, I'm getting sick of being in school and that's about it.

Tonight's Whisky Wednesday covered Isle of Skye, Kilchoman's Summer and Winter releases and Smokehead. Was not impressed with any of these.

Wicked Whisky Wednesday in Woostah! Sounds wicked good. :)

Now quaffing an Anvil Bar creation that is very tasty and quite potent as built (high proof and 2x)

Diplomat Cocktail

1oz dry gin

1oz Bonal

.5oz Combier triple sec (Cointreau)

1 barspoon maraschino

2 dashes orange bitters

Lemon peel garnish

Due to an extremely generous person, ahem...

Caipirinha

2 oz Cachaça

2 tsp Caster sugar

1/2 lime, cut into wedges

Muddle the lime and sugar in a shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and add Cachaça. Shake vigorously and serve in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Thanks again man!

So that was the contraband? Nice! I fell in love with Caipirinhas at a Cuban place down the street. They recently closed, which broke my heart. :( Tried to make my own, but it sucked. The liquor store nearby only had one cachaça, and I think it wasn't very good. Might have to try again!

Me:

Finally had a chance to open these ...

Lots of stuff from the Stag's Leap vineyard area is good including the Merlots and 2007 was a spectacular year so win, win, win,

That's how you get the perfect Ph for the water :)

And 100% natural!

Decided to take a chance, and found and bought the old Coruba Dark version (the formula has changed). Plans tonite include putting it in a Zombie.

Be careful which zombie you put it in!

Just finished a sculpin IPA. Delicious.

Drinking a foothills bourbon barrel aged peoples porter now.

Trying not to think about the five pounds I probably gained after yesterday and now this.

Had a glass of Sculpin at lunch, still one of my favorite IPAs.

2007 Paul Hobbs Vice Versa Cabernet. No bear or dinosaur piss is used in making this wine or so I have been told.

Rather tasty but the 2005 is rather tastier.
