luvdunhill
Both were good and the Rum & Honey idea is a nice twist on the usual old fashioned. A stronger, sharper rum might be interesting even though the Barbancourt was super tasty and not terribly sweet. One of those Smith and Cross Old Fashioned knocked me out. It was damn tasty though. Dusty Chalk
Glad you liked it, Al. Hа здоровье!I will need your oatmeal cookie recipes for some of the others. It's pretty easy: Step 1: In a pitcher, mix one bottle of one of the oatmeal stouts with one bottle of Raisin d'Etre. Step 1.5: Before the pitcher overflows, stop pouring, switch to a bigger pitcher (moving previously poured contents to the larger pitcher). Resume at step 1. Step 2: drink. Step 2.5: stop drinking from pitcher, wipe chin, pour a glassful into a glass, resume at step 2, drinking from the glass this time. Step 3: make a mental note to chill the beer first for next time. shellylh
I need to get some cream so I can make the Rum Alexander, that looks good. Tonights drinks: 1) Negroni-ish drinks Dougroni 1 oz Bluecoat gin 1 oz Cynar 1 oz Dubonnet I made this and then realized it was too sweet so I added a bit more gin to it and a dash of Angostura bitters... much better. Ordinary Negroni 1 oz Bluecoat gin 1 oz Campari 1 oz Dolin Rouge After making these two, I decided that the Dougroni was still too sweet for me so I tried Cynar + Dolin Rouge Nedougroni. Nice! I am not so sure I am so fond of the Dubonnet, I'll have to try it in a few more drinks. 2) Anvil Time Twentieth Century Cocktail 3/2 oz Bluecoat gin 1/2 oz Marie Brizard Creme de Cacao 1/2 oz Lillet Blanc 1/2 oz lemon juice I liked this quite a bit! Next time I will try it with Cocci. @Al: I'll forgive you this one last time but next time take pics!!!! Absorbine_Sr
Bloody Mary's. A bottled mix tweaked with Lea & Perrins, Louisiana hot sauce and jalapeno stuffed olives. Oh, and Debbie went with hot pickled okra instead of the olives. Edited February 28, 2011 by Absorbine_Sr
