Duggeh Posted December 25, 2011 Report Posted December 25, 2011 Water. I've had a very light christmas eve at the pub this year. My brother can't even stand up.
F1GTR Posted December 25, 2011 Report Posted December 25, 2011 Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye. This year's release is outstanding. Far superior to the 15 year bourbon.
Voltron Posted December 25, 2011 Report Posted December 25, 2011 Noel de Calabaza with cracked crab, sourdough and salad for christmas eve at my dad's house.
morphsci Posted December 25, 2011 Author Report Posted December 25, 2011 Now that the presents are wrapped and the stockings are filled, Santa is having some beverage to go with his chocolate chip cookies. The new cask is smoother and more complex but the aged cask goes better with chocolate chip cookies Merry Christmas to those celebrating and Happy Holidays to everyone else.
grawk Posted December 25, 2011 Report Posted December 25, 2011 I agree with that assessment, other than the cookies part, which I don't have any of.
mypasswordis Posted December 25, 2011 Report Posted December 25, 2011 Gotta finish off this Chivas Regal and get something moar betterer. That's my excuse to getting drunk and I'm sticking to it.
NightWoundsTime Posted December 25, 2011 Report Posted December 25, 2011 A lot of eggnog last night and a bottle of Chouffe N'ice, still my favorite Christmas beer. Now I've got to beat the hangover so I can drive the 88 backroad miles to my cousin's place in Georgia.
raffy Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 FFF Alpha Klaus from the xmas package Emelius sent me. Thanks Jeff! Smells very very similar to Stone 15th Anniv but is a LOT more drinkable and has a nice coffee/chocolate finish to it.
emelius Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 ^^Cheers, Raffy:)... Mikkeller 1000 IBU American Style Imperial India Pale Ale... worth it for the smell alone, but the rest is equally good...not a beer for beginners:)... WOOPOW!...
Augsburger Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Williams Selyem 2007 Rochioli Riverblock Vineyard..... I approve of this Pinot.
Aura Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Dogfish Head Faithfull Ale, in a Bruery tulip. Both of these were gifts from Allison that I opened this morning, along with four other bottles, another Bruery tulip, and a Bruery shirt.
morphsci Posted December 26, 2011 Author Report Posted December 26, 2011 (edited) You're a lucky man Bryan. In the holiday spirit I made a Tom & Jerry Batter Separate 2 eggs. Mix the yolks with 2 tablespoons Demerra sugar and a pinch of freshly ground allspice, cloves and cinnamon until smooth and watery. Beat the egg whites until they peak then fold into the yolk mixture. The Drink Spoon two tablespoons of the batter into a mug. Add 2 oz Germain Robin Brandy and 2 oz Ron Zacapa Rum while constantly stirring. Top off with hot milk and stir until you reach the desired amount foam. Top with freshly grated nutmeg. Edit: I missed the Cobble Hill yesterday Marc. How did you like it? Edited December 26, 2011 by morphsci
