Congrats is appropriate here -- one for Shelly and one for hubby! Congrats!

Going to toast you with Parker's 27 cause that's a lot of years!

congrat(s) and cheers Shelly

Thanks! We tried out a "new" restaurant (Branch Water Tavern http://www.branchwatertavern.com/) with great food and a really nice bar that I will have to check out some more in the future... lots of bourbon/ryes and nice cocktails. :)

I hope you had a bourbon & branch! Seems kind of obvious, but maybe not the most exciting. Come to think of it, I have never ordered that at Bourbon & Branch so I can't really complain, but there ain't no branch water handy in these parts.

Very nice Mike!

Al: I've never had Bourbon and Branch. Looking up the recipe it seems to be bourbon and a lot of water??? Watery bourbon sounds yuck. Maybe would be ok with sparkling water?

Branch water is technically the same water used to bring the Bourbon to proof. In reality any filtered water should work fine as the goal is to not change the character of the Bourbon. You are only supposed to use a splash.

Just for Marc, it's Fernet Branca Night!

First, a shooter with ginger beer back.

And close your eyes Shelly, I don't want you to be sick. :)
