Emooze
Glenfiddich 12, was the closest bottle to my hand.
Voltron
Schlafly and Brunello both look good. Glenfiddich sounds nice, but the double old fashioned makes me WANT.
Absorbine_Sr
And it was very tasty. Is it wrong to have another on a Sunday night?
Voltron
Not at all. I'll join you, with a twist. Walnut Old Fashioned 2oz calvados or apple jack .25oz walnut liqueur .25oz demerara syrup (cinnamon syrup) 2 dashes angostura bitters Edited December 12, 2011 by Voltron
shellylh
^How is it? I have been wanting to try out my walnut liqueur in some drinks. Since I can walk short distances with one crutch I should be able to get back to mixing!
Voltron
Tasty. I think another is in order do Mike doesn't feel bad. It might work with bourbon too.

Absorbine_Sr
Amen to Shelly coming back to mixing. As Jim can attest, I am still an apprentice and need inspiration from the good cocktail kids here.
emelius
FantƓme de Noƫl from Brasserie FantƓme...best x-mas beer I've had this year...a 10% brew that I could drink all season were it cheaper...
Fitz
Had to go in early as shit today to finish up a job for monday inspection, which also means very little to do on monday, so It's beer night at casa de fitz. Started off with Stone IPA, then an Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale, and now finishing off a 750 of La Fin du Monde.

raffy
Had a shitty day and felt under the weather so I'm treating myself to a KBS
raffy
2011 Deschutes Abyss. Kinda underwhelmed, I'm getting a distinct licorice taste which I'm not a big fan of. Overall good but not really feeling the licorice finish. KBS is still king of imperial stouts in my book. Voltron
At least you're not feeling under the weather anymore, hopefully. The Abyss takes some time in the bottle from my recent experience. If you have a couple more, keep them for a year or so. I'm going to drink my KBS one of these days, but I should also be receiving a metric shit ton load of Fifty-Fifty Eclipse pretty soon. Looking forward to checking out this year's crop. Voltron
I'd down a few of those pretty happily. For the moment, however, I am drinking a nice Ragnarok that you sent me and it feels like the end of an age: Thanks Mike!

emelius
HaandBryggeriet Nissefar Norwegian Holiday Ale... this is quite good, but, for whatever reason, it smells like olives & that's putting me off... was suggested by Hoptopia, but I'm sure Lee had it on tap & didn't encounter the same nose... Absorbine_Sr
For the moment, however, I am drinking a nice Ragnarok that you sent me and it feels like the end of an age: Thanks Mike! You are welcome sir. I am reconciling with the accursed Floyds, so there will be more in the future. And now for me, a nice Junipero Martini with jalapeƱo olives. shellylh
Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since my surgery. Having an early celebratory Liberal*! I do love this drink. *This drink took me like 5 hours to make, walking back and forth to the liquor cabinet, on one crutch, carrying one bottle at a time.
