Voltron Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Just saw a reference to this and I really want a tumbler of it right now. Any good Jim? Will have to find a bottle at lunch. To buy, not to drink. Maybe.
morphsci Posted December 1, 2011 Author Report Posted December 1, 2011 It is excellent but then again I'm a big fan of mixing whiskey and cognac.
Voltron Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Convenient of them to do it right there in one bottle! The Parker's Heritage are mostly awesome, although the wheated bourbon wasn't stellar.
grawk Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Samuel Adams' The Vixen Chocolate Chili Bock
NightWoundsTime Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 Stone Vertical Epic 11.11.11 - "Meh" for me, as was the 10. Earliest one I got was the 9 I remember being nice. Anyway they could all be great next year, I could see this one calming down a lot by then. ON the back of the bottle they slowly spell out exactly how they fucked it up, doing a chili/cinnamon treatment on a belgian yeast strain known for "banana and clove" aromas. It's all in there, but none of it is playing nice.
manaox2 Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 Oskar blues ten fiddy stout. That Sam Adams Vixen is the most tempting damn Samuel Adams beer I've ever heard of by a good amount. /want

Augsburger Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 I surveyed the Illumenati gathered here in my dining room and you have their permission to go forth and drink.
Voltron Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 can I go home and drink now? Fuckin' A! I may not be home until tomorrow, so drink some for me too.
grawk Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 I bought a bottle of vertical epic. I guess I'll hold onto it a while before opening it. I'm having a brooklyn chocolate stout now.
