morphsci Posted September 24, 2011 Author Report Posted September 24, 2011 Sorry to rub it in Stretch, but this Supplication is only adding to the nirvana effect of the Staxen parade. Cheers to the boys at CCB! Wish I was with ya. Beer and Stax, just needs whisk(e)y for completion.

morphsci Posted September 25, 2011 Author Report Posted September 25, 2011 (edited) Satan's Whiskers (enroulée) 1 1/2 ounces gin (Junipero) 1/2 ounce dry vermouth (Dolin) 1/2 ounce sweet vermouth (Cocchi Vermouth di Torino) 1/2 ounce Mandarine Napoléon 1/4 ounce fresh orange juice 2 dashes Angostura bitters (Bitter Truth Jerry Thomas' Decanter Bitters) Place all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice, shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Add an orange peel as garnish. Double cheers Al Edited September 25, 2011 by morphsci
Voltron Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Nice! What do you think? I really liked the Napoleon neat and in the enroulée.
shellylh Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 (edited) Tried some Bulleit Bourbon at a reception tonight. It was pretty good. I think I like it better than their Rye. Of course, I am sick and sleep deprived and was just happy to be done with my talk and having a drink... Also, went to a place for BBQ tonight. The pork was pretty good but they didn't have any beer there... that would certainly not be allowed in Texas. Edited September 25, 2011 by shellylh
luvdunhill Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 I see your Old Pal and raise you a Boulevardier:
luvdunhill Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Jim/Al: Would you mind trying the Napoleon in a 1:1:1 Margarita with a Reposado/Anjeo Tequila? If it isn't horrible, then I can justify a bottle
