mikeymad Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Japanese happy fun time drink --> Hibiki 12yo 43%
Augsburger Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) Rentaria Pinot. At first it smelled of rabbit poop; thank goodness it has opened up and now smells and tastes like a Sonoma Pinot. Edited September 23, 2011 by Augsburger
mikeymad Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 interesting nosing note... not sure I have that in my catalog...
Iron_Dreamer Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Had a bomber of great divide smoked baltic porter. Not disappointed. Sounds damn good to me. How much longer 'til I get to Denver...?
mikeymad Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 more Japanese tonight --> Suntory 15yo 56% 600ml ( cask 65328 )
luvdunhill Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) My take on a Bourbon Collins 2 oz bourbon 1/2 oz simple syrup 3/4 oz fresh lemon Shake and add to glass with a few ice cubes. Top off with a couple ounces of soda (I used the top of my three part shaker). I think I nailed this one. A bit overkill using the Vintage probably, but it's nice and worth it. It's a light drink, probably would be nice with Apple Jack. Edited September 23, 2011 by luvdunhill
mikeymad Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 as long as you can replace the 17 for a good price..
luvdunhill Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 as long as you can replace the 17 for a good price.. Fair. I'd love to find something at any price to give it a run for it's money. For that matter, price no object deathmatch.
luvdunhill Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Fuu the above with White Dog could be interesting.
cetoole Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Fair. I'd love to find something at any price to give it a run for it's money. For that matter, price no object deathmatch. Vintage 17 that good? Its $65 at one of my locals, and I have considered it several times. Also $65 for their 21yr Rye and $100 for 23yr bourbon. Drinking a Bellegems Bruin West Flanders Ale right now, scrumptious.
mikeymad Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 I like the 17 over the 23yo ... picked up a bit too much wood for me...

cetoole Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Rly, rye. And I guess I will be forced to test the 17yr bourbon.

The Monkey Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Ice cold Dos Equis. Makes up for it's general suck by being ICE COLD.
Voltron Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 That reminds me that I had a Negro Modelo with a late lunch a few minutes ago. How was MCLE, Dinny?

tyrion Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 I am with Jp and Raffy. We will have to see if one of Matt's mules can pick one up for you.
luvdunhill Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 Pretty buzzed. Impresed some business guys by correctly calling absinthe in a cocktail from some Hendricks babes. Win. Now, need a proper drink.
