mikeymad Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 I liked the Uigeadail tonight... but I ended up doing a 1 to 1 vatting of both and it was better than either alone... cheers team
guzziguy Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 New Belgium Lips of Faith Clutch...Dark Sour Ale...collab with the band of the same name... not nearly as good as Kick...buy Kick:)...or go back in the series... I've tried 3 or 4 Lips of Faith. So far, nothing comes close to La Folie. I'd be curious to hear you comparisons of both Clutch and Kick with La Folie.
emelius Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 I'm the odd man out that likes Le Terroir more than La Folie...LF was just too sour for me to pick up notes I like to look(taste) for... also, LF is ~$18 here whereas most of the others are ~$8... I will revisit it soon, though...it sounds stupid...well, I sound stupid BUT my tongue seems to cope with extreme sours better after my tongue's been sore & regenerated the taste buds... & now, thanks to google, I know that it's called innervation: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/197930.html anywho...I'll pick up a bottle:)...
grawk Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 I just had 6 shots of moka-pot espresso made with mysore nuggets. I'm now bouncing off the walls.

naamanf Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 (edited) Perfect Manhattan with Vya vermouth and Bullet rye. The Vya is much better than the Moarotten&Nastti I was using. What is the preferred bitter? Edited September 3, 2011 by naamanf
Augsburger Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Hanson-Hseih Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc. Not as deep and structured as the Peter Michael but tasty and will go great with the Caesar salad I am about to partake.
luvdunhill Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Perfect Manhattan with Vya vermouth and Bullet rye. The Vya is much better the Moarotten&Nastti I was using. What is the preferred bitter? Vya, Dolin, Punt e Mes, Cocchi Torino and Carpano Antica are all suitable. I like the Torino.
Voltron Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 (edited) Bought a bottle of Bruery Rogbrod at Toronado and brown bagged it at the new Greenburger place across the street. Excellent all around. @Naaman: if you mean bitters, I would say Angostura, Bitter Truth Jerry Thomas Own Decanter or whatever it is called (a fave), or a cherry bitters like Fee Bros.
