Jim: Those new bitters bottle are just too cute. This is definitely the first time I have been complimented on my bitter bottles.

raffy
Life and Limb Batch 2. Good but not as I expected. I only tried it once last year but I remember it to be a little sour and this one isn't....am I mistaken?
Voltron
Life & Limb was not sour. It is very malty and somewhat sweet.
raffy
Life & Limb was not sour. It is very malty and somewhat sweet. It is malty, roasty and bittersweet indeed. Funny thing is, I had a small amount in your place and I thought I remembered being surprised at how it was a little sour, dark and malty all at the same time. Obviously, I must be thinking of something else that was not Life and Limb.

shellylh
More port (same as before) but this time with "pot brownie." I am starting to really like this port. I love the walnut like flavor. Edited August 24, 2011 by shellylh

Voltron
For me, a rather indulgent Julep: And for Claire a Beton, which was a cocktail we drank in Prague. Becherovka (1.5oz), lemon juice (.5oz), and tonic (4-5oz) over ice. Tasty stuff.

naamanf
That's a julep with a kick! I actually have some really nice mint growing that originally came from my mom's house in Oregon. Now if a julep only took rye....
shellylh
I am sure a mint julep with rye wouldn't suck.
naamanf
i wouldn't mind a good julep. instead, i'm drinking the crappiest beer Cincinnati produces, but that's what i get for spending 2 months income on an engagement ring. I hope there is at least a diamond in it. Congrats either way, well if she says yes. Unless she already did. Then congrats. Great Divide Smoked Baltic Porter. Meh.
