morphsci Posted August 21, 2011 Author Report Posted August 21, 2011 Absinthe dasher, even nicer, and the opaline is a beautiful color. The gypsy is good and the sweetness works since the alcohol content is still high.
luvdunhill Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 ... Almost done with "Forgotten", but need another shipment of booze (!) and the eventual delivery of a very hard to find bottle being held in .za
shellylh Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 I got one drink left Just don't have the ingredient (Creme de Mure) Maybe I'll save it and have it at Anvil?! Al: next time you're at Cask, check out the tiny St. George bottle, very cool if someone is looking for a great absinthe and a suitable size bottle for say Sazeracs... I am pretty sure that I have all the ingredients, so, in theory, I could finish the list tomorrow! I quite liked the Bramble and Creme de Mure in general. I assume that is the drink you have left?

Yeah, I was looking to find the Clear Creek Blackberry liqueur, but couldn't ever find it (a few times I saw Loganberry which might be a good substitute)
Voltron Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Old Fashioned Whiskey Cocktail with Bourye and Boker's bitters. Not my favorite version. The Boker's seems too spicy and bitter for this application.
Absorbine_Sr Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Dreadnaught. My man Peter @ FFF always pours me the adult portion instead of the half-pint. Cheers everyone!
Voltron Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Stone IPA, but I'd rather have a grown-up portion of Dreadnaught any day! Cheers Mike!
Voltron Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Rub it in, rub it in. You're going to make me crack open a Pliny, now aren't you?!
shellylh Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Jealous of the all the adult sized Dreadnaughts (and the Pliny).
Voltron Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Cheers to Matt the Younger, Mike and Jim with their Dreadnaught, and Shelly and her short rainstorm. Now if the Giants could just manage to win one damn game against the pathetic Astros.

shellylh Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 (edited) It's looking good for the Giants. It would've been really sad to see the Giants swept by the quite pathetic (almost minor league) team which goes by the name the Astros. Edited August 21, 2011 by shellylh
Voltron Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Nice come-back Thank you for forcing my hand! It's looking good for the Giants. It would've been really sad to see the Giants swept by the quite pathetic (almost minor league) team which goes by the name the Astros. True dat. We have so many injuries i am not sure what to call this collection of has-beens and whelps.
shellylh Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Having a Cynar and Pellegrino - quite nice. Congrat to Al and the Giants for the win!
Absorbine_Sr Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Rub it in, rub it in. You're going to make me crack open a Pliny, now aren't you?! Well, to make it come full circle, I was wearing my Pliny the Elder T-Shirt today. Life's connections are so cool.
Iron_Dreamer Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Dang if the Giants didn't try their best to lose that one for ya, Shelly. They were driving me crazy today. Ruination is on the schedule for me tonight
Fitz Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Since I can't up the ante, 90min IPA, then a Hardcore IPA after I finish it.
