cetoole Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 A wee dram of Flor de cana 18 centenario gold to go along with my dinner of Patagonian toothfish and couscous.
philodox Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) La Fin Du Monde by Unibroue. My favourite strong ale available at the LCBO. Also, my first drink in 2 weeks thanks to being on antibiotics. Edited May 1, 2011 by philodox
blessingx Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) Some foamy, cinnamony, eggy, bourbony drink I could never get the name of at a neighborhood Shiners breakfast. Think The Shining. Edited May 1, 2011 by blessingx

Voltron Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 A little scary, there, Ric. Bourbon Flip? At Toronado for a couple beers and a sausage from next door. Watching Giants and following Sharks. Starting with Bombay by Boat on hand pump.

blessingx Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) A little scary, there, Ric. Bourbon Flip? Possibly. Didn't see it mixed and asked, but 'bartender' just wanted to talk the Korean War, The Crusades, race relations in California, and how kids today suck. Yummy, so worth it. Emooze Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 How is Hellhound? Finally drinking my Bitches Brew and I have to say that it fails to live up to the hype.
grawk Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 bitches brew wasn't great Hellhound is an IPA, but I like it anyway
Voltron Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Tall drinks are in order this warm weekend in Mayberry. Now up: Gin Buck 2+ oz gin (Old Raj) 3-4 oz ginger ale (Fentimens) Wedge of lemon
NightWoundsTime Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Popped a DFH Bitches Brew earlier, the second of the two I initially bought. Much better than I remembered, may have been the time that brought it out a lot more or who knows what other conditions contributed. All I know was my first impression, it might as well have been Guinness. Followed it up with a 2011 Hunahpus. First I've popped of the new batch, although of course I had it on tap at the release. Worth mentioning that it's even better than last year's.
morphsci Posted May 2, 2011 Author Report Posted May 2, 2011 A little slow on the challenge, but a Paper Plane Yumm. I have been looking for other drinks that use the Amaro Nonino, and this is a good one.
Voltron Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 I thought of going Nonino on that one too, but the Averna was right up front. Will pick up the gauntlet again with one of these for Game of Thrones tonight.
morphsci Posted May 2, 2011 Author Report Posted May 2, 2011 I think you will like the Nonino in this one. I made another (larger) one before retiring upstairs to watch "The Killing".
Voltron Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Paper Plane with Parker's 27 to celebrate the death of Bin Laden. Huzzah for the US armed forces and intelligence services.
Fitz Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Westmalle Tripel, the nicest thing I have here, also to celebrate the death of a horrible man. If the store where it's being held wasn't already closed, I seriously would've been tempted to go pick up a bottle of TNP or StB! to pop open tonight.
