Voltron Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 I've been waiting a couple weeks to make this one and christmas day seemed appropriate. Ric would quite like it to top off his diabetic delight today. You'll Shoot Your Eye Out! 2oz aged rum .5oz Becherovka .5oz Benedictine .25oz cinnamon syrup 3 dashes orange bitters Orange peel garnish (in the shape of a floating eye)
Fitz Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 My mother got me a variety of scotch for xmas. Trying the Glenrothes '98 before I open the '85.
manaox2 Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 (edited) I just finished a bottle of 2010 Mother Earth Silent Night and 4 Calling birds with an old friend. Now drinking a Victory Yakama Glory. Cheers to Head-Case for another solid year. Edited December 26, 2011 by manaox2
Fitz Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Continuing with the gift booze, a New Belgium Snow Day Winter Ale. It's actually a black IPA. I've never had it before and figured it'd be something more sweet and malty. Quite pleasant though.
emelius Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 De Molen Bed & Breakfast... Morning:)...
raffy Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Cheers to Head-Case for another solid year. ^This Enjoying an Barrel-aged Old Rasputin right now. Very nice and boozy.
NightWoundsTime Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Chapeau Winter Gueuze (aka Xmas Gueuze). Bad ratings but I kinda like it. It's super sweet and reminds me of a christmas candy type concoction. Eating some Cowgirl Mt Tam cheese with it, and a little leftover smoked turkey. Thoroughly great.
Absorbine_Sr Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Whiskey Sour. Holding off on the pics until I feel a bit more accomplished in my skills. But it's tasty!
Absorbine_Sr Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Following up with a Sazerac. Not bad but Jim's and Al's were better. More practice required = more drinks for me!
Voltron Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Keep up the good work, Mike. Claire made some Wake Up Dead Ginger Bread so I am having the rest of the bottle.
mikeymad Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Just got back from my 5 hour drive from so-cal. Will have a beverage once my house warms up..
morphsci Posted December 27, 2011 Author Report Posted December 27, 2011 Sierra Nevada Celebration in the hotel room.
luvdunhill Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 Corpse Reviver #2 Blackwoods, Cocchi, Cointreau and absinthe with a crazy monkey on the bottle. So, this concludes my fourth bottle of Cocchi Americano. The question for the sages is: should I try Lillet?
morphsci Posted December 27, 2011 Author Report Posted December 27, 2011 If it's an either/or get the Cocchi.
luvdunhill Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 If it's an either/or get the Cocchi. My thoughts exactly. Maybe I just need to buy a case.
shellylh Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 Yep, Cocci. I am celebrating my return home (and my first class upgrade earlier today) with a Manhattan.
emelius Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 CCB Cubano-style Espresso Brown Ale...

Iron_Dreamer Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 3 Floyds / Brewdog Bitch Please... Woody, peaty, and delicious!
emelius Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 not for nothing you guys, but Indy has thus far received zero Bitch Please... World Class handles FFF here & Cavalier does Brewdog...as it's being distributed across the nation, it's obviously going through Brewdog channels...so Cavalier fucked up in Indiana...I've contacted them & they're blowing me & a bunch of store managers off...hopefully, it'll find its way here eventually, but I'm ready to explore other avenues... online, it'd cost me $12.99 a bottle plus shipping(!)...if any of you wanna do a mixed beer exchange, please lemme know:)... cheers...
