Voltron Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) I was going to join Mike (after the fact) in some Handy Rye, but Shelly's idea seems better at the moment. G-R XO for me. Edited October 19, 2011 by Voltron
Voltron Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Cheers, Shelly, and I wish my profs would have had a couple drinks before writing my recommendation letters!
Augsburger Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Ahh, I think mine did plus a few buttons of psilocybin based upon the job offers I received. Shelly, how would you rate the brandy? Would it be a nice nightcap beverage?
shellylh Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Well, I don't know much about brandy (you may remember me asking for cognac recommendations not that long ago) but I thought it was really nice and would definitely recommend it. I will have to have a little brandy tasting tonight to verify its deliciousness.
raffy Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Noah's Mill neat. Boy, that's smooth. IMO, a great deal for the price.

Aura Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 Sweet lord you must go conquer that tap list Al! And fax me some Cantillon while you're there.
emelius Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 while that particular Cantillon isn't that rare, finding it on tap certainly is!... I can recommend the #300 & I'd kill to try that 50/50... happy hunting...
luvdunhill Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 Walked away paying $70 for these. Wanted plenty of stuff, but hoping these will serve as 'well mixers'
Voltron Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 Rosebud ale at Magnolia before college night with my daughter. Also having a plate of pickles, including pickled grapes.

Having a Maison Surrenne Petit Champagne and Germain Robin Coast Road Reserve taste-off. I prefer the G-R but they are both very good. Edited October 20, 2011 by shellylh

Having a Maison Surrenne Petit Champagne and Germain Robin Coast Road Reserve taste-off. I slightly prefer the G-R but they are both very good. Will do! I have been meaning to post this, but Deus cognac isn't bad for $20. I'm curious how the Brillet compares. I haven't had the vatted Springer in years. I did enjoy the Longrow CV, so I'm hoping this one is OK.
Voltron Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 Half punt of Proving Ground IPA Along with chicken bacon sausage with slow egg.

Cee Tee Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 mikeymad's post #6612 is the one post I would take with me if I were stuck on a deserted island. I'd use my 'magination <real hard> and pretend my salt water was "peaty".
mikeymad Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 Have not had me some VEP in a long time... might have to get one....
Voltron Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 They carry it at Cask in SF. Just sayin'
