Do you think I got a Chinese knock-off?

Is there a recipe for "Happy Family" on there?

Jim: Those new bitters bottle are just too cute.

This is definitely the first time I have been complimented on my bitter bottles.

Cheaper by the pallet I always say... oh and it looks like a little Macallan, Highland Park, Glenmorangie?, Lagavulin, and something in between that and what looks like an Ardbeg. Oh and the Pappy :)

Very Nice Sir.

Life and Limb Batch 2. Good but not as I expected. I only tried it once last year but I remember it to be a little sour and this one isn't....am I mistaken?

Life & Limb was not sour. It is very malty and somewhat sweet.

It is malty, roasty and bittersweet indeed. Funny thing is, I had a small amount in your place and I thought I remembered being surprised at how it was a little sour, dark and malty all at the same time. Obviously, I must be thinking of something else that was not Life and Limb.

More port (same as before) but this time with "pot brownie." I am starting yo really like this port. I love the walnut like flavor.

Perhaps a Hotel Chatham Special Cocktail next?

Chatham Hotel Special

1/2 oz Ruby Port

For me, a rather indulgent Julep:

And for Claire a Beton, which was a cocktail we drank in Prague. Becherovka (1.5oz), lemon juice (.5oz), and tonic (4-5oz) over ice. Tasty stuff.

No cream in the house. :(

Al: That julep looks nice!

That's a julep with a kick! I actually have some really nice mint growing that originally came from my mom's house in Oregon. Now if a julep only took rye....

i wouldn't mind a good julep. instead, i'm drinking the crappiest beer Cincinnati produces, but that's what i get for spending 2 months income on an engagement ring.

I hope there is at least a diamond in it. Congrats either way, well if she says yes. Unless she already did. Then congrats.

Great Divide Smoked Baltic Porter. Meh.

I think I nailed this one. The Kuchan strikes again, it's very highly recommended Al, if you are ever at K&L..

This one is:

9/4 oz Smith and Cross

3/4 oz lime juice

3/4 oz Kuchan O'Henry Peach Brandy

3/4 oz Shrubb
