cetoole Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Saz 18 perfect manhattan, it's game time. Same, but lemon twist instead of Dan's lime.
tyrion Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Aura, ignore them. Its bad enough we have to be subjected to their nonsense but to cut down a young man of obvious taste is a step too far. I'm going to grab a nice oak aged imperial stout. This thread has taken a bad turn and I'm afraid it will never return to what it once was.
Aura Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 What the fuck do you know about cocktails, college boy? Red Bull and shit vodka from a plastic 1.75 liter is NOT a cocktail. I know exactly what to bring you when I visit Cali in the fall, good sir .
The Monkey Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 My Dad got me a bottle of the Bulleit Rye. I will drink some tonight. Sans milkshake.

Voltron Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 I know exactly what to bring you when I visit Cali in the fall, good sir . Some great FFF beer would be dandy.
Aura Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 (edited) Some great FFF beer would be dandy. Miloko's an August release, so I'll hoard for you. Mike, just saw your post. The cocktail regime reminds me of the scene from I, Robot where all of the robots are saying "one of us, one of us." Edited April 13, 2011 by Aura

I'll drink a OMFG WTF Oak Oak Oak Oak (and a wee bit of bourbon) Stout in support of the cause. I do like a good mixed drink now and again but I just can't keep up with their shenanigans.
Voltron Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 apparently shit vodka and a tablespoon of cranberry juice in a 1.75 liter plastic bottle is, though. ask me how i know! Oh, nooo. That was most certainly NOT a cocktail either!
raffy Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Oh, nooo. That was most certainly NOT a cocktail either! Oh yes it was Al! Don't fight it! Nothing wrong with enjoying shit cocktails once in a while ya know?
morphsci Posted April 14, 2011 Author Report Posted April 14, 2011 Red Vodka is a cocktail in the same way that Blatz is beer.
raffy Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Isn't blatz beer "an American beer made with German craftsmanship?"
morphsci Posted April 14, 2011 Author Report Posted April 14, 2011 And Schlitz is "the beer that made Milwaukee famous".
naamanf Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 And Schlitz is "the beer that made Milwaukee famous". Milwaukee is famous?
morphsci Posted April 14, 2011 Author Report Posted April 14, 2011 Milwaukee is famous? Only if you consider Schlitz to be beer.
Augsburger Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 In keeping with the cocktail theme- Blackbird Vineyards Arise- a nifty Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc blend offering a very young Pomerolish Bordeauxish tasting red, quite nice.
emelius Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 two brothers north-wind imperial stout...dark horse one oatmeal stout ale...

Voltron Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) Hey Mikey! Nice looking whisky. I had a nice Monk's Revenge cocktail earlier, following The Anvil Bar's recipe for its own creation. 1.5 oz Benedictine .75 oz Rye (Thos. Handy) barspoon each of Campari and Fernet Branca Stir with ice, strain, chant a bit, and enjoy. Very tasty and not sweet even with all that liqueur. Amen! Edited April 14, 2011 by Voltron
Dusty Chalk Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Finished the Y+B Malbec. Meh, will keep looking.
mikeymad Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Hey Mikey! Nice looking whisky. Was better than I remembered - almost gone - visit it while you can... )
