Fitz Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 Innis & Gunn, Rum Cask My 4th Scottish beer of the evening... not sure why I've gone Scottish on St Patricks Day, but I'm enjoying it. Heh, I had a regular Innis & Gunn much earlier, with more Scottish beer in the fridge, and currently going for a very healthy pour of scotch now. Seems to be the theme here too.

agile_one Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 I think I am ready for Jp's arrival. Well, It's a start, at least ... Impressive drinking by all concerned last night. Mikey, that was some good looking Irish. I settled for Red Breast 12, followed by Laphroaig 10 and Laphroaig Quarter Cask. Belated Happy St Patrick's Day to all. ************************************************************* Paddy was driving down the street nervous because he had an important meeting and couldn't find a parking place. Looking up to heaven he said, 'Lord take pity on me. If you find me a parking place I will go to Mass every Sunday for the rest of me life and give up me Irish Whiskey!' Miraculously, a parking place appeared. Paddy looked up to Heaven and said, 'Never mind, I found one.' ************************************************************* And one for Colin ... Father Murphy walks into a pub in Donegal, and asks the first man he meets, 'Do you want to go to heaven?' The man said, 'I do, Father...' The priest said, 'Then stand over there against the wall.' Then the priest asked the second man, 'Do you want to go to heaven?' 'Certainly, Father,' the man replied. 'Then stand over there against the wall,' said the priest. Then Father Murphy walked up to O'Toole and asked, 'Do you want to go to heaven?' O'Toole said, 'No, I don't Father.' The priest said, 'I don't believe this. You mean to tell me that when you die you don't want to go to heaven?' O'Toole said, 'Oh, when I die, yes. I thought you were getting a group together to go right now.'

philodox Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 Thanks Al. Finishing up my Scottish beer tonight, currently enjoying some 'Alba', a Scotch pine ale. Not bad, but I think the black ale I had last night was the best of the lot.

bhjazz Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 (edited) Go Dogfish. The 90-minute IPA is damn good. For me, a fe glasses of Hey Mambo red. Interesting blend. It went well with Friday night tacos and seems to pack an alcohol punch. Or maybe it was that quick and dirty martini beforehand. Otherwise, an interesting table wine. Finish is Zin-like with cherry and cab-ish with some tannins. Pretty good balance for the cost. Edited March 19, 2011 by bhjazz
Augsburger Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 Cool cup Marc! I have a picture somewhere of me standing next to the real thing way back when though I don't recall a gift shop anywhere near there.
