shellylh Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 My, look at all the pretty drinks! Want, especially a Sweet-N-Hot Bourhatten.
Voltron Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 Had to have another Preakness with a little more Benedictine and it was more sweet than hot this time. I like this mix and plan to experiment further.
Voltron Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 Two Lane Blacktop then Red Imperial at 21st Amendment with JP. He needs to move back asap.
emelius Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Mt. Carmel IPA....creamy/malty...hops come on strong at first but quickly fade...tastes like a hoppier/pinier Boddingtons... Ithaca Caskazilla Red Ale...a powerful red indeed...hope to have this one on tap some time...or at least freshly brewed...add a crispness to this & it'd be dynamite... Firestone-Walker Double Jack Double IPA....could stand to be slightly hoppier, but should be fine for most...not overly creamy like the Mt. Carmel...closer to balance...
morphsci Posted February 2, 2011 Author Report Posted February 2, 2011 Fuck this weather! A Blinker x 2 2 oz Rendevous Rye 1 oz Grapefruit Juice 1 tsp Raspberry Syrup Shake and double strain into a cocktail glass. Express and then garnish with a lemon peel twist.
shellylh Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Couldn't find the original reference to Dinny's Sweet and Hot Manhattanlike drink so I poured myself a Van Winkle Lot B, Carpano Antica, and cherry bitters. Was good and now I am sleepy.
emelius Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Smuttynose Really Old Brown Dog Ale...
cetoole Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Something I refer to as the "whisk(e)y cocktail". Not telling what it is, because it would probably offend everyone here.
morphsci Posted February 3, 2011 Author Report Posted February 3, 2011 My guess is it involves Mt. Dew and the last living virgin in NJ.
The Monkey Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 I think it's equal parts urine and Boone's Farm.
grawk Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 it does involve both diet mt dew and colin, so Jim is almost right
The Monkey Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 2 of the airplane size Jack Daniels on the rocks. Keep em coming stewardess lady!
