morphsci
Much better cocktail name Al, sounds like something to be drinking while listening to jazz. As far as the beer versus cocktail battle, it's not a war, only a police action. Moving on from Left Coast Babs to the Blackthorn Cocktail 2 oz gin 3/4 oz Dubonnet 3/4 oz kirsch Stir with ice in a mixing glass and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a Maraschino cherry and a lemon twist. Moving in the right direction. Better.
Absorbine_Sr
Mike, how is the barrel-aged? I preferred the cask to the barrel aged. Too far over the top on the BA.

emelius
Great Divide Grand Cru Belgian-Style Dark Ale... bottled earlier this month...plenty fresh...spicier than the Sierra Nevada...not as juicy...waaay sweeter...SN gets the nod in my mind...but, at 11%, sure aging one of these would be fun...as would the food pairing suggestions on the label... morphsci
Nice garnish on the Blackthorn Marc. Decided to retry the Blood and Sand, same recipe I used previously but substituting the Asyla for the Glenlivet OK Asyla must be bottled by Apple with added unicorn dust. I finished this off before I could get this posted.

Voltron
Glad you liked Dinny's favorite, Mike. I had a nice big Sidecar with Pellehaut Armangac and it merely whetted my appetite. I'm handicapped because I moved tons of booze to Mayberry and I am in SF. Oh well, I should be able to figure something out.
