naamanf Posted June 18, 2012 Report Posted June 18, 2012 Yes, the wife does not like corn tortillas. . They were still excellent, if non-authentic. That is a shame, corn tortillas are tasty.
shellylh Posted June 18, 2012 Report Posted June 18, 2012 (edited) This. Have you tried white corn tortillas? They are slightly sweeter and softer. Edited June 18, 2012 by shellylh
n_maher Posted June 18, 2012 Report Posted June 18, 2012 I should try to get her to try them again. Next time I make these I'll make half and half so I can eat the corn if she really doesn't like them.
shellylh Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 Sounds awesome. Next time I'm in town I expect a meal at Chez Chesser.
crappyjones123 Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 No offense to chez chesser but I can't imagine any food worth waiting 16 years for. What is so special about the place (serious question)?
Absorbine_Sr Posted August 21, 2012 Report Posted August 21, 2012 No offense to chez chesser but I can't imagine any food worth waiting 16 years for. What is so special about the place (serious question)? I hear the duck ala spade is to die for...

crappyjones123 Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 (edited) Sure pick on the foreign guy who still doesn't know what chez Chesser is. I thought it was a fancy restaurant but obviously not. Edited August 22, 2012 by crappyjones123
grawk Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 it would help if you knew what reks' name was...
crappyjones123 Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 Well I know his first name. Im guessing it has to do with his last name.
Absorbine_Sr Posted August 24, 2012 Report Posted August 24, 2012 fried chicken and waffles. my standard sourdough waffle, and the fried chicken is a bone on chicken breast coated in an egg wash and a breading made of corn starch with a pinch of flour, with cayenne pepper, sea salt and cumin. fried in about 2 inches of vegetable oil until the crust is how i want it, and then put in 300 degree oven for 10 minutes. damn tasty! If I'd known I'd be eating like that, I would have married you.
morphsci Posted August 25, 2012 Report Posted August 25, 2012 That sounds awesome. Okra is my second favorite vegetable.
