brooklynlou
Greetings all. Need suggestions for new headphones to look into with the following criteria. - Under $80 - Decent sound - Decent construction, ie. able to take some in bag abuse - Closed design - Not insanely large I'm a big fan of Grado's and use them at home, but the open design doesnt work well in a loud train. In ear plugs, though light, tend to die the good death in my bag. Cheers - Thanks in advance

Dusty Chalk
Oh, that kind of subway, I thought he meant the sandwich shop. I didn't thinking chewing and JH16's go well together, though I will admit to having no experience in the area.

Elephas
- Under $80 - Decent sound - Decent construction, ie. able to take some in bag abuse - Closed design - Not insanely large Used Sennheiser HD-25-1 It's closed, medium-sized, has decent isolation, is tough and should be able to take a lot of abuse carried in a backpack. Change the cable, a reterminated HD650 cable is good. Velour earpads are a nice option.

DefectiveAudioComponent
The vintage Pioneer Monitor 10 will fit like a glove. It's large, but I wouldn't say insanely large. Not like a Sennheiser H
manaox2
I didn't get a chance to hear the monitor 10 in Tampa. Anybody get some time with it re-terminated?
aardvark baguette
I was watching football this past Sunday, and they showed the players getting off the bus before the game. Almost all of them had Dre Beats. These guys can afford to buy anything, so you know there is nothing better available.
