Ben Gramain Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 I find it pretty hilarious though that everyone is saying it should be $900. If the cups were wood, that would be out of the window. Lesson to Beyer - never underestimate the dumbness of your buyers.

I find it hilarious Beyer did absolutely no innovative thinking at all in designing the T1 (moar stronger magnets lulz) and it is worth about $250 in terms of sound quality. Less if you factor in the fact that you can buy a vintage Lambda/Pro for that price.

Can't speak to their lack of innovation -- certainly the enclosure seems identical to the 880 with a bit of fancy mesh -- or whether or not their pricing is cynical in this marketplace. But I see nothing wrong with evolving a design if it's warranted. And the T1s are very good all-rounders I think. k
atothex Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 What's the market price for a T1 these days? Surely it's gone down a bit from the original MSRP?
Wmcmanus Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 What's the market price for a T1 these days? Surely it's gone down a bit from the original MSRP? I'd imagine up from the original which was $995 before it went to $1,295. I bought it at the lower price and feel that it's just as good as any other $1k headphone out there, except maybe the LCD-2.

Interests Collecting too many mediocre-sounding headphones So yeah, why not collect fairly decent headphones like the T1?
mypasswordis Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 Interests Collecting too many mediocre-sounding headphones So yeah, why not collect fairly decent headphones like the T1? Because my mediocre sounding headphones sound better than the T1. They are mediocre relative to my instrument.
screaming oranges Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 Interests Collecting too many mediocre-sounding headphones So yeah, why not collect fairly decent headphones like the T1? Lemme show you my museum... tee hee!
Ben Gramain Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 Because my mediocre sounding headphones sound better than the T1. They are mediocre relative to my instrument. Ah yes, the 'I've tried x at meets' worthless gambit.
mypasswordis Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 Ah yes, the 'I've tried x at meets' worthless gambit. Good enough for me, I'm not going to buy a T1 for a couple weeks and then have to sell it just to satisfy a dickhead like you.
luvdunhill Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 I believe the proper term is "jagbag"
morphsci Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 I vote for dickhead, jagbag, douchey cunt but with a nice British accent.
Ben Gramain Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Good enough for me, I'm not going to buy a T1 for a couple weeks and then have to sell it just to satisfy a dickhead like you. Wonder who's the dickhead - someone who gives everything a fair shake, or someone who, well, compares stuff in meets.
mypasswordis Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 This coming from the same idiot who got Beats to look socially acceptable, ie like a jagbag, and who doesn't have hearing worth shit. Gtfo troll.

If we were talking about sources/amps you might have something resembling a point, but saying even headphone impressions at meets are completely worthless just because somebody disagreed with you, well... This coming from the same idiot who got Beats to look socially acceptable, ie like a jagbag, and who doesn't have hearing worth shit. Gtfo troll. ohsnap.gif
mypasswordis Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 With his reasoning there is no point to meets, because you can't tell shit about anything. Reason? He can't tell shit about anything, and since his head is stuck so far up his ass he thinks everyone else is the same way. Fucking fuckety fuck he makes me angry.
luvdunhill Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 Wonder who's the dickhead - someone who gives everything a fair shake, or someone who, well, compares stuff in meets. What a douche

Fitz Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 Sorry, triple post Some things are worth saying thrice.
Szadzik Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Reading this thread gave me lots of information about these headphones, yeah! Joining this forum seems to have been a big mistake [runs back to head-fi screaming]
