^^^ill try this, thank you.
The reasoning goes something like this: if you usually leave your AC in recycle mode, condensation accumulates -- if you leave it open, then it eventually evaporates, depriving the mildew of one of its key ingredients to live.

Of course, if it's a dead fish behind your taillight, then all it does is waft relatively fresher air in your face.

Must be that the squirrel or sloth or whatever died in your car went zombie and scraped off into the night to eat rodent brains.
This was my first thought as well.

(Well, actually, I thought the carcass fell out of the car, but that was my second thought.)

one of my underlings cleared out basement quadrant #2, last week, and it's possible they remembered your car from when you visited, and thought that it would be an acceptable corpse debarkation point. stupid robot zombies. i only use them because they are cheap.

There's a filter (fillder if you're from back east) called the cabin filter that sometimes gets really gross or clogged with leaves. It's tied to your air vents. Try checking replacing it, it's usually pretty cheap. In my car it's under the "rain tray" under the hood between the windshield. Also are there any wet spots in your carpet?
