nikongod & I swapped cds. Opened an envelope from some dude with a Russian name. Hmm...inside is a cd. Finally it occurs to me it's from my HC exchange partner and not the Russian mob.

Looks like a key item has shown up at my place. Good. I'll pack it up tonight and get it on the road tomorrow morning for Dmitri...

After a small postal snafu at my house (as in: I thought you were gonna, no I thought you were gonna) the package is now, for realsies, in the hands of the USPS. Should arrive in a couple of days in a priority mail box. Cheers!

I got double the exchange gifts due to 2 partners. :) I got a DVD set from Ric, looking forward to watching it as soon as I have some spare vacation time next weekend. Thanks Ric!

And I got my gift from Carl just today. Didn't open it since it was wrapped, going to save it for Christmas Eve. Can't wait to find out what music it contains, thanks Carl!

Just got 4 CDs!!! from Brian and now I feel that 2 CDs I send are inadequate. :( Next year I am sending more! My only hope is that Brian thinks that CDs that I send are very cool or maybe, at least one of them, unusual. :D

I could not wait and opened them now:

Just got Gregs package, he must have hurt himself figuring my music sense out. He did an amazing job!

Greetings from Michigan by Sufjan Stevens (can't wait to give this a listen)

Death cab's narrow stairs and transatlanticism (definitely old favs that I needed to pick up)

The Decemberists Picaresque (big fan and haven't heard this album)

And Beirut march of the zapotec (haven't hard this one in so long I need a new listen)

How awesome, I'm very grateful. I only hope my cd picks were at least half as good.
