Grahame Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 and it gets the alaskan Taco and slice jones off our backs. Is that what they call it at The Mons? If Friday is going to be a long night, where I can get a decent coffee / espresso / cafe con leche ?
NightWoundsTime Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 There's a cigar place in Ybor that'll serve your needs brilliantly and give you all those choices until about 1 AM, Grahame. King Corona, easily walkable from New World Brewery and right across the street from the pizza place.
Iron_Dreamer Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Wow, the excitement is building! A bit of work to finish off tomorrow morning and I am off to Grahame's to begin this epic.
CarlSeibert Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Eating Me Ma's Alaskan Tacos sounds a bit dirty. Agreed on the old In-N-Out is better then eating 5 guys. No time for the old in and our now. Alex, my droogie, you are a very sick man. Carl, you should consider driving straight to Skipper's if you miss the ride from the hotel. I think I'd asked you before if you'd been, but can't remember your answer. If not, I think you'll love the place. When we went to that dive with the jamband in Lauderdale I instantly recognized how much it was like Skipper's compressed to a strip mall. Same overall quality/structural integrity/vibe, but with a roomy space with a huge tree in the middle. Sounds like a plan. A big Alligator Alley with a tree. I'm there. We're there, actually, since Bonnie will be with us Friday night.
cetoole Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 In for Matt's crew regarding Friday night craziness.

A fair comparison except Skippers in some parts doesn't have a roof or walls and where it does they are made of sheet metal. A fun place. I think I will be arriving Friday instead of Thursday and leaving early Monday morning. I probably will not get up there before 9 so I will probably have to meet you guys at Skippers.

You're not going to Bern's with the grown-ups?! Come on, we'll catch up with the jambanders after a nice dinner. Who says it doesn't get cold here. Ice on my windshield this morning: BTW, did you snort that rail after chopping and lining it up so nice.

Besides, I have to grown up all the time. This weekend is a chance to not be grown up. You can have your fancy dinner. I'm jambanding with the regular folk. I tried to snort it but it melted before I could get a $20 rolled up.
Aura Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 In this meet's honor I'm going to get fucking drunk this weekend once I've cleared my way through most of my semester exams. Good 1,200th post?
agile_one Posted December 8, 2010 Author Report Posted December 8, 2010 Outstanding 1200th, Bryan, and we are honored by your homage.
Fitz Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Wow, the excitement is building! A bit of work to finish off tomorrow morning and I am off to Grahame's to begin this epic. Same here, just a wee bit of work in the morning then off to the airport!
VPI Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 So has the itinerary for Saturday been established. Do I bring cameras, bowling shoes or guns?
MexicanDragon Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Guns and cameras, or at least guns and glass. **BRENT**

tyrion Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I'll have my Sig with me and a bunch of ammo in case we go shoot or zombies attack. I'm good with either.
agile_one Posted December 9, 2010 Author Report Posted December 9, 2010 Saturday is up to you, Jeff. Whatever you want, you get. There will be a semblance of a meet going on, but extracurriculars and breakouts are encouraged. Blond Nihilist Thug: [holding up a bowling ball] What the fuck is this? The Dude: Obviously you're not a golfer.
boomana Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I'm going to bring one rig, two guns, three pair of shoes, four boxes of ammo, and lots of cash. That should make for a good weekend as far as I can figure.
VPI Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I will wait for the photography peeps to weigh in before I decide to bring a bunch of gear or a P&S. I'll bring my eyes and ears in case I decide to rent some hardware and shoot with the crew.
CarlSeibert Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I tried to snort it but it melted before I could get a $20 rolled up. I thought you were supposed to smoke ice, not snort it. Or maybe I missed a memo........

Voltron Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I am bringing the PS-1s and some portable stuff. Any reason to bring the TTVJ FET-A or the luvdunhill Amp of a Thousand FETs? The latter requires a balanced source. Gene, please advise.
Asr Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I crammed an amazing amount of stuff into my carry-on bag - including my Nikon D300S to help cover the photography angle. It was easier to pack my Gilmore Lite so that's coming instead of the Avenson HPA, but still bringing the rDac and ES10. Looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday, this will be awesome. I'm checking out Busch Gardens & St. Petersburg Pier on Friday, and probably the Florida Aquarium & downtown Tampa on Sunday - if anyone wants to join on either day, let me know. (Going to be offline starting tomorrow - but Peter, Justin, Matt, & Ari have my cell #.)
