Oh man wish this would have been this weekend. I have three days off and it's only a six hour drive. Hopefully they don't send me back and I can make MOA 2.

<Maxwell Smart> Missed it by that much ... </Maxwell Smart> Damn, Naaman, so close, but yet so far. Sure wish this could have worked, but, as you say, more reason to lock in MOA II.

My sources tell me that Al is giving a door prize to all who attend. Well two doors technically...

pffft ... TamJam is throwing down one of these.

No guns for me but I'm in for booze, fast cars, and loose women. 3 things that just go together, right? :) Man is there anything that can make TamJam even better at this point?

I'll probably stuff some gear into my carry-on. Maybe the Arcam rDac, Avenson HPA, & Audio-Technica ES10.

I'd definitely like to check out the rDAC if you can bring that Steve.

This time next week, I will be basking in the presence of this august group once again. Yay!

Some of us were thinking of going out for dinner Friday night at a nicer and pricier than usual spot. Obviously, whoever goes to that dinner will reconnect with the rest of the crew afterward. We should figure out who is interested in the nice dinner idea and where we want to go, so speak up with interest and suggestions.

Are you thinking of Bern's Steak House > Home ?

Some people seem to think it's worth the splurge Bern's Steak House - Tampa, FL

They also seem to have <Neo voice>wine, lots of wine</Neo voice>

l

from the reviews

some recommendations:

1) Visit their website and read up on their menu before hand so you know what to expect.

2) Take the tour!! They'll walk you through the kitchen explaining all the stations, etc. Plus they'll take you down into their world-class wine cellar.

3) Make reservations

4) Dress nicely (suit and tie not required)

5) Plan on it being at least a 2 hour affair.

6) Order your steak more rare than normal.

7) Park across the street (I hate valet)

But the whole dressing up thing doesn't seem very head case. Grown up, perhaps, but not very d-_-b

EDIT: Dress code from the web site

Bern’s & SideBern’s Dress Codes

The appropriate attire at either Bern's Steak House or SideBern's is business casual to semi-formal. We ask that no t-shirts, tennis shoes, flip-flops, shorts, or blue jeans be worn. If any of these items are worn to Bern’s, you may be seated in our lounge area instead of one of the dining rooms.

Jackets and ties are encouraged, but not officially required. It is quite common to see formal wear in our restaurants since we are fortunate to be visited often for special occasion meals.

ummm, yeah, a Bern's excursion is a strong possible for Fri night. Jeff, 6:50 arrival is right on time, so you are in.

I'm working on an agenda, list of weekend activities, which I'll post up sometime tomorrow.

In the meantime, if any out of towners want to pm me flight arrival times, we will do our best to accommodate you, althouh the hotel is a very short cab ride if we can't.

Am I getting psyched with less that a week to go? Hell yes. :)
