boomana Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Wings and Panthers both with a win! Nice night.
grawk Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 The caps squeaked out a win in OT against Atlanta. Semin got a hat trick, and Neuvy played lights out. Otherwise, the team is still playing like there's something wrong.
GPH Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Well, it's still a strong season beginning for them even if there's something wrong.
grawk Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 Ovechkin has been quiet, most of their wins have been OT squeakers, varly's injured, green's injured, and poti's injured. They've won the games they've won on ability, not play.
Happy Camper Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Man, what's up with NJ? Sign Kovy to a big contract and bench him this early in the season.
grawk Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 The problem is they made a thug their coach, and his coaching style and Kovi's playing style don't mesh really well.
boomana Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 Watching the Panthers game against Montreal. First time I've enjoyed one of their games all season, even when they've won. It's only the middle of the second, but really good, fun hockey. Still liking Matthias, and Booth just got a nice penalty shot goal. Hoping my friend can come through with tickets soon.
grawk Posted October 31, 2010 Author Report Posted October 31, 2010 awesome watching the caps remember how to bring the offense in cowtown.
darthsilverice Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 ^ Awesome beating of the fLames, I enjoyed watching that game
Happy Camper Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 The Blues are making a valiant effort. Three of their top six Dmen out, leading goal scorer out and they are still on pace with the league leaders. Four of their last six games are shutouts and 9-1-2 in their first twelve. I don't want to breath.
skullguise Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 The Blues are making a valiant effort. I don't want to breath. Even as a Bruins fan, who they beat in a SO the other night, I enjoyed watching that Blues team. Oshie is a mini-beast! He took on Zdeno Chara and put him to the ice with a nice check. And he took David Krecji out as well. Horrible to see the concucssion on DK, but it was a very clean hit and cannot fault Oshie at all; a classy interview after the game as well. He's one of those players you'd love to have on your team. The rest of the team is playing real upbeat, fast, inspired hockey. Good luck to them this year.....
Happy Camper Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 Why would you know this exists? Well, what a difference a three game losing streak makes.
grawk Posted November 14, 2010 Author Report Posted November 14, 2010 Why wouldn't I know it exists? The caps played terribly last night. Oh well. Tonight it's the thrashers.
tom_hankins Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Thrashers jump the Caps for first!!
aardvark baguette Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 I love that Caps are only taken out of first place with all the shitty playing lately. God what a horrible month.
tom_hankins Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 I love that Caps are only taken out of first place with all the shitty playing lately. God what a horrible month. Thrashers are 11-2-2 in there last 15. They played there way in just as much as the Caps have played there way out of first.
boomana Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 There are some good match-ups tonight. I'm looking forward to the Wings game tonight against the Stars. Looks like Osgood is going to start, and is going for his 400th career win.
grawk Posted December 19, 2010 Author Report Posted December 19, 2010 The stars are pretty tough this year...
boomana Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Yes, they are, and they trounced the Wings last outing. Babcock's a smarty, and I bet the only reason he's starting Osgood tonight is to hope for some 400th-win excitement at the Joe. Wings are in a tiny slump, so a win tonight is needed. Looking for a good game either way.
grawk Posted December 28, 2010 Author Report Posted December 28, 2010 I've got my habs jersey on, getting ready to head down to dc to get beer dumped on me. Look for me on RDS and NHLTV.
GPH Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Now you're talking. I'll be watching that for sure.
