n3rdling
Man all this makes me want to hear an Ultrasone now. I've always avoided them at meets in the past, but need to experience the suck in person now.
Currawong
Have you heard the Denons before? Much the same thing.
K3cT
Have you heard the Denons before? Much the same thing. Trust me, the Ultrasone is much worse. The Proline 750 along with the HFI-580 and HFI-780 rank there as the worst headphones that I've ever had the pleasure to hear. I still don't understand why they have to make the treble and bass sound like that... The Denons don't get much love around here but I thought the D7000 sounds acceptable as a closed headphone. blessingx
Maybe for those who want Edition 10s on a budget: Pioneer blings out HDJ-1000 headphones, turns them into a $209 Limited Edition
Dusty Chalk
That looks more like an award (for most records spun, or something), than something I would actually want on my head.
Duggeh
As a recent owner of a pair of 1985 era Pioneer speakers, I can defo commend that pair of headphones. Etc.
Knuckledragger
Pioneer was an awesome company in the 1970s. For the last 15 years their CDJs have been the industry standard. Their DJ mixers are okay, though other companies (Allen & Heath, Rodec, Ecler, Rane) are far better. Their DJ headphones are rubbish. Most headphones marketed to DJs are crap, even for the purposes of DJing. Acres of fragile silver plastic that doesn't hold up worth a damn. The only DJ cans worth their asking price are Sony MDR-7506s. Get off my lawn!
Wmcmanus
Don't get wtf they're going for with the Edition...7, 9, 8, 10, ? series though. I think the "series" would therefore be: 7, 9, 8, 10, 12, 11, 13, 15, 14, 16, 18, 17, and so on... I agree with you, this whole series of headphones doesn't make sense! jpelg
Maybe it's like one of those number series questions on the math SAT's? Can you guess what comes next?

Dusty Chalk
They're going to throw you all for a loop when the next number is a fraction, and it makes perfect sense once you figure out the quadratic. The trick is, it needs to be plotted out on an actual timeline.
