shellylh Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Very cool and glad to hear there was no surprise baby at the end.
The Monkey Posted October 12, 2011 Report Posted October 12, 2011 Awesome! It was hot this year, right? Just finishing is a major accomplishment. And the money raised, that's something else of which karen should be very proud.
morphsci Posted October 12, 2011 Author Report Posted October 12, 2011 It was about the same temperature this year as last, but the humidity was not as bad this year. Over the last three years shevhas raised a nice chunk of change and we are both really happy about that.
Pars Posted October 12, 2011 Report Posted October 12, 2011 Yep, congrats to Karen (and you for supporting her)! Awesome accomplishment, and a very deserving cause.
jvlgato Posted October 12, 2011 Report Posted October 12, 2011 Congrats to Karen! I think it's incredible that anyone could run for that long. Nice job!
morphsci Posted September 15, 2012 Author Report Posted September 15, 2012 Karen will be running in the Chicago Marathon again as a St. Jude's Hero. If you would like to donate you can do so HERE. Donations are much appreciated but well wishes are appreciated just as much. Thanks.
shellylh Posted September 15, 2012 Report Posted September 15, 2012 Will donate tomorrow! Kick some butt Karen.
Pars Posted September 15, 2012 Report Posted September 15, 2012 Done, and way to go Karen, once again!
morphsci Posted September 18, 2012 Author Report Posted September 18, 2012 You guys (and gals) are awesome! She has already reached her fundraising goal.
morphsci Posted October 6, 2012 Author Report Posted October 6, 2012 (edited) Heading up to Chicago for the Marathon tomorrow. Thanks again to everyone! Edited October 6, 2012 by morphsci
morphsci Posted October 7, 2012 Author Report Posted October 7, 2012 Karen's unofficial time was 4:48:45. Since she was slightly behind the Ethiopians, that's probably official enough.
shellylh Posted October 7, 2012 Report Posted October 7, 2012 I do believe your wife is insane for even having a desire to run a marathon (let alone multiple marathons) but I congratulate her nonetheless.
n_maher Posted October 8, 2012 Report Posted October 8, 2012 I do believe your wife is insane for even having a desire to run a marathon (let alone multiple marathons) but I congratulate her nonetheless. this and well done!
