Pars Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 New series on A&E. Caught the premier two episodes of this last night, though I think it is slotted for Sunday nights. Seems promising; I am going to target watching this. Rubicon - AMC
boomana Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 I caught the first two episodes as well, and liked them. I'll be on an airplane next Sunday, but I may try and follow this show. Isn't AMC one of those channels that puts on shows more than once a week?
Yikes Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 No DVR? With all your toys, that's just embarrassing. I recorded both and plan on giving the show a chance.
HDen Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 Watched the 1st eps a few months back, looked very interesting, going to watch eps2 sometime this week
Grahame Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 You could use the internet as you DVR. That would make for very eztv.it could be fun
boomana Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 I'm still trying to make it through the second episode of Arrested Development through Netflix. I saw the first last month, and have started the second about four times. I'll get there, but I don't know how you folks find time for all this watching stuff. I'm good for about an hour or two a week.
Yikes Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 The NPR reviewer specifically mentioned that Rubicon wasn't for multitasking type viewing, if you can't give it your attention that it would be extremely difficult to follow. So I suspect that it's not mindless tv.
HDen Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Just finished watching eps 2, nice eps, some parts seemed a bit weak, but cardboard stairs made my day(night)
jpelg Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Watched the first two eps on Sunday. Seems promising, a little quirky, if not totally compelling, but occasionally (intentionally?) disjointed. The train scene seemed a bit over-the-top to me, but I guess that implies that the conspiracy/coverup is big too *shrug*. I'll probably DVR it to watch "whenever" or if it's on-demand I'll do that.
HDen Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Looks like there won't be a second season for this Rubicon Canceled by AMC
Pars Posted November 12, 2010 Author Report Posted November 12, 2010 Fuckers is right. Better show (IMO) than The Walking Dead, which of course is getting great ratings so far. Not that I don't like The Walking Dead...
manaox2 Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 I just started watching it today it was pretty good. sent via Droid X
manaox2 Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Anyone else notice that each episode was written and directed by a different person? Odd?
manaox2 Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 K then. Just finished the series. Also sad to see the series canceled. Too many loose ends, but I can guess at least from here. sent via Droid X
deepak Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 zombies are more popular than thinking. I want a thinking zombie conspiracy. Oh god that zombie has a clover!
