Voltron Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Nice pic's Steve. The lamb shanks look yummy! BTW, isn't that Dan Lavry on the right in the first pic (the fellow you think is named Steve)? I don't think that is Dan Lavry in part because I don't think he ever smiles that much. Quote
Aura Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 I don't think that is Dan Lavry in part because I don't think he ever smiles that much. I don't recall the guy's name, but that is the same Lavry rep. who was at CJ Chicago. He definitely is not Mr. Lavry. Quote
swt61 Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 His reviews are the best available. Oh fuck! I bought things without consulting him. Quote
morphsci Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Yep the guy on the right is Steve, who is an engineer with Lavry. Quote
ironbut Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Yep the guy on the right is Steve, who is an engineer with Lavry. Ha-ha,.. now I see. I met Steve in Chicago and thought he was Dan! Duh,.. my bad! Quote
Sinocelt Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Oh fuck! I bought things without consulting him. And your point is? Of course one can buy anything without reading first other people's feedback; but when I buy something I cannot try, especially something expensive, I am grateful for detailed reviews. Quote
morphsci Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 (edited) Many words do not a great review make. But I think his point had something to do with your comment not making much sense in the universe most of us live in. Edited October 24, 2010 by morphsci Quote
Sinocelt Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Many words do not a great review make. Many words, no. HPA, yes. But I think his point had something to do with your comment not making much sense in the universe most of us live in. If by this you mean "the universe of people who have the opportunity of trying out what they will buy," then yes, I agree, my remark doesn't make much sense. This said, custom IEMs, by their very nature, cannot really be tried, universal demo versions notwithstanding. My post was about custom IEMs, answering another post about custom IEMs, so in that light, I do think my remark makes sense. Quote
morphsci Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Many words, no. HPA, yes. Blutarsky, is that you? Quote
deepak Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Blutarsky, is that you? Don't think so View Profile: Blutarsky - www.Head-Case.org Quote
Sinocelt Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Blutarsky, is that you? Aaah, I get it now. You don't like HPA and/or his reviews, so you accuse anyone who appreciates them to be related to the man. And a venomous insinuation such as the one I'm quoting certainly benefits this community much more than HPA's reviews, too. Quote
jp11801 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 bang bang maxwell's silver shovel... you obviously don't get it Quote
morphsci Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Don't think so View Profile: Blutarsky - www.Head-Case.org I know. Simply a comment on the fact that his post is the forum equivalent of a Aaah, I get it now. You don't like HPA and/or his reviews, so you accuse anyone who appreciates them to be related to the man. I can see how this contribution of yours is so much more valuable than his to this distinguished community. No, actually you do not get it. Perhaps you should go listen to some Jethro Tull now. K thx by. Quote

Perhaps you should retire from posting now and go back and very slowly and carefully reread your welcome PM. Oh, and AFAIK Blutarsky and HPA are not related. Oh, and fuck off; just for the record I do not dislike HPA but I do not care for his reviews, so don't tell me what I like or do not like. Quote

Asr Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 Traveling can be just as expensive as buying a pair of high-end custom monitors -- or more, for those who, like me, don't even live in the States. My post wasn't directed at you so how about next time you don't interrupt. Quote
Voltron Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 (edited) Blutarsky, is that you? Now that's some funny shit, there. How much do I have to pay Reks to shovel the Sinocunt out of here? Edited October 24, 2010 by Voltron Quote

HeadphoneAddict Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Oh Lord, I was hoping something like this wouldn't happen. Someone threw the sheep to the wolves (or he jumped in), and it's never pretty. And people wonder why I feel that I don't really belong in the group, or am not welcome here. That came up at RMAF once or twice. Quote
