tyrion Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 I'm in for Saturday but it would be nice to hit somewhere else Friday night.
Asr Posted October 14, 2010 Author Report Posted October 14, 2010 Tyler/Sherwood might have something in mind for tomorrow night, but barring that I'd think someplace in either Park Meadows or Cherry Creek could work (better parking than downtown and they're closer). You guys have any particular food preferences? Edit: just remembered Mike posted about Cherry Cricket earlier in the thread, could go there.
HeadphoneAddict Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 My wife is going to MN for 4 days on Sunday for business, so I may be having dinner with her Saturday night before she leaves town. It would be nice to join you guys on Friday night, but I was also going to try to spend time with Fang or Jack Wu or both. Too many people to visit with and so little time.
jp11801 Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 The Wu Tang Clan cancelled due to family issues Fang should be here later today
boomana Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Have fun, guys. I'm kinda regretting that I didn't figure out a way to get there.
Voltron Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Have fun, guys. I'm kinda regretting that I didn't figure out a way to get there. It would have been a nice 50th birthday present to yourself!
Sherwood Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Aw man, 1000% excited for start of show Friday You ready for some fun, all?
jp11801 Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Tyler can't wait to hang out, maybe a hotel room party Friday night?
ironbut Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 (edited) Have fun, guys. I'm kinda regretting that I didn't figure out a way to get there. Me too! Hey JP, be sure and say hi to Doc. He's going to be up in the Magico/Maritani Consulting room showcasing tapes and a killer analog>digital archiving system. They're going to feature a Pacific Microsonics HDCD processor, a Zalman TNN300 dedicated music computer(all SSHD)/ Mykerinos card with Pyramix software from Merging Technologies. I had a chance to play with it and it's not too shabby for digital. Edited October 15, 2010 by ironbut
Sherwood Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Steve I've got the jones for good beer and their current draft line up is scary good. I'd be glad to wat till 8pm Falling rock has its own parking lot downtown, free to patrons. There's enough room for more cars than the joint can hold people, thankfully, and every time I've been there were a few spots open. Carpooling should work out well for us.
Sherwood Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Also, ain't no party like a hotel room party. I've got a spot for Friday, and it's close. Baker Street Pub. It's a local chain, CO and TX only. Nearby, good food and beer, and room for as big a group as we can cobble together. Interested?
tyrion Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Cherry Cricket is 18 miles away and an A- on Beer Advocate and allegedly amazing burgers and wings. I'm just saying. I'm not going to be at the hotel much before 9 p.m. so I guess the closer you guys are the better.
jp11801 Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 A few shots from pre show set up So far the show is a blast. The Rethm amp is absolutely brilliant with the LCD2s. They go into production soon it should be a steal given the quality and sound.
blessingx Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Cool. JP, keep the updates coming for those of us afar.
Voltron Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Good luck with the show, JP! Now I'm more sad that I'm not there...
jp11801 Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 OMA Lenco table in use in the Rogue audio room. Sounds fantastic
jp11801 Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Greg, here is the Denon you mentioned. Nice but the OMA is better to me.
jp11801 Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Zu room very good sound, Mike I think you'll like your purchase!
cetoole Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 OMA Lenco table in use in the Rogue audio room. Sounds fantastic ...so you can listen to your records while you listen to your records...?
Voltron Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 So you can listen to your stereo records and then listen to your mono records, or listen to your records with one cartridge and then another, and so on. Smartass.
