michalkopyta Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 I was hoping that Slovakia will repeat their success with Italy and will beat Netherlands. Unfortunately they have lost - but the match was really good IMO. And they scored a goal at last.
deepak Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 Your next post better be USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA
mypasswordis Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 I think the US could really clinch the NFC east if they pull their heads out of their asses and start actually catching the ball and running with it.
penger Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 But since he fears flying, will never make it to South Africa to provide commentary.

deepak Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Does Canada have their own team? Apparently they do, but the players are only known by their numbers and not their names!
Grahame Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 does Scotland have their own team or do they just bitch around? Most Popular T Shirt in Scotland During the World Cup? BBC News - HMV rejects 'anti-English' ABE T-shirt slur
GPH Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Does Canada have their own team? Apparently they do, but the players are only known by their numbers and not their names! Soccer is poor man's hockey anyway.
Sherwood Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 But since he fears flying, will never make it to South Africa to provide commentary. boat?
grawk Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 I thought Soccer was Rich man's hockey in canada. You can play hockey outside 9 mos a year, and soccer only 3, so it costs more to play soccer
GPH Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 You have a good point. I like to play soccer, but damn do I find it boring to watch on TV. I usually catch a hockey game or two every week on TV during the regular season, but I struggle to watch a soccer game in its entirety during the World Cup. Cultural differences maybe, but I think hockey is so more intense and exciting than soccer to watch. And the players are not sissies (ok grawk, maybe Crosby is), see proof here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rjmq5pBZyFU
deepak Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 The over the top drama queening and diving in soccer is pretty lame.

Cultural differences maybe, but I think hockey is so more intense and exciting than soccer to watch. And the players are not sissies (ok grawk, maybe Crosby is), see proof here: It depends of the teams you watch but mostly if you didn't play the sport you are watching I think you won't find it to interesting. I though basked was so boring until I started playing it, now I understand how hard those plays are when I watch on the tv and I learned to appreciate it more.
morphsci Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 Germany v. Argentina was not a boring game. When mom is happy, everybody is happy.
HDen Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 Germany v. Argentina was not a boring game. When mom is happy, everybody is happy. Yes it was one of the better games, I love how Germany played with no bs, just straight attack and great defense, no need for diving crap
