mypasswordis Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 I'm not, I have to play for someone's wedding on Saturday and hopefully schedule a lesson. And also catch up on work from last weekend.
Dreadhead Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Vlad and I had talked about it but I don't think we are anymore. There is a pro bike race in Reston that I'm planning to go to tomorrow and then I'm doing a metric century on Sunday (hopefully).
cetoole Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Some very interesting looking speaker companies there. The Fibonacci ribbons specifically are intriguing, anyone know anything about them?
Dusty Chalk Posted June 14, 2010 Author Report Posted June 14, 2010 The Fibonacci's stole the show for me. It's a single ribbon, acoustic suspension, so they had them practically flat up against the wall, and I was hearing zero combing. No bloom (Salk), no bizarre etch-y like thing that wasn't etch (MBL, but I suspect it was room placement -- about 6 feet from a stone fireplace -- will probably visit United Audio for another demo, they were otherwise very good), not shouty...just...everything right. Wish they went lower than 80 Hz, he said it wasn't a gradual roll-off, but almost a brick-wall. Surround configuration, but I forgot to bring any of my own music. Intended to be in-wall. Never got to listen to the Berkeley Audio Design.
