tkam Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 (edited) Coming soon.... (iphone, itouch, etc supported) Just to clarify this is going to be a mobile version of the existing chat room. Supported devices at release time hasn't been confirmed yet but expect at least iphone and itouch, with possibly the ipad as well. I except android and blackberry computability to be added in the near future. Update - I was able to get in on the beta for the mobile chat. For iphone/touch/ipad users hit up this link in mobile safari: http://www.head-case.org/forums/addonchat.php. It'll take you to a login page if you aren't already logged in, so go ahead an login and then on the next page click the "Click to Start Chat Room" icon/link and you should be taken to the chat room. Dusty Chalk Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 If it works on the iPhone/iTouch, there's no reason it shouldn't work on the iPad.
MexicanDragon Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 Dammit! For once I don't have an Android device and now this may be coming soon? Bah. Maybe I'll get an iPod Touch and use my HD2 to tether to it. Bah. Hope the BB app comes out soon, much needed/wanted time waster/maximizer, Todd. Thanks! **BRENT**
boomana Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 Nice. If people thought my typing was bad before.......
Currawong Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Nice one. Now I can chat while on the train or whatever.
VPI Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Yeah I have no joy on the iPad with Chat. Just tells me I need Java.
VPI Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Looks like it only works with Safari Mobile so I am able to get on by using Atomic Web and telling it to emulate Safari Mobile.
tkam Posted May 28, 2010 Author Report Posted May 28, 2010 Yep iPad should work now, as should any Android 1.5+ device.
cetoole Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Todd, I can log in and see chat activity, but not actually write anything on Android 2.1.
MexicanDragon Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 Works great with my G1. Now... uhmmm... will it be bad to have my HD2 serve 3G over wifi to my G1, just to chat mobiley? **BRENT**
