spritzer Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 2SC4686 is EOL as well. Fuckers... Quote
eggil Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 (edited) That really sucks. How can we continue to build as some parts become more and more scarce? Megatron it is then!! I already started the hunt for that build. Edited January 15, 2013 by eggil Quote
shipsupt Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 (edited) I should have looked harder... they were right under my nose. I just ordered 25 from Bdent. I was so surprised that they had them in stock after not finding them at a bunch of other suppliers that I called and he confirmed he has them. I'm not sure how many he has, but if anyone is looking you might consider checking with him. $4.95 each I was also able to get the Toshiba 2SC2705's and 2SC1815's which were also showing obsolete on Mouser as well. Of course I'm not counting chickens yet, not until I have them in hand, but I'm feeling better tonight than I did last night! Edited January 15, 2013 by shipsupt Quote
spritzer Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 If this trend continues then we are indeed looking at just tubes for high voltage use or stacking lower voltage parts. One HV transistor that is cheap and easy to source is the Fairchild 5027 but the gate capacitance is quite high... Quote
Victor Chew Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Mouser is out of 2n3904. The order page suggests replacement with http://sg.mouser.com/search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=863-2N4401G Has anyone tried it yet? The specs are almost identical except it can take higher current at 0.6A as supposed to the 0.2A. Quote
Pars Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 2N3904s should be a very generic transistor... Fairchild or ON Semi should be fine? They seem to have all kinds of them. http://sg.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=2n3904 Quote
spritzer Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 Yeah this is a generic part so any manufacturer will do. Quote
Pixiy Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 I am just wondering where can I find some lsk389s. It seems that BDent is out of stock. Quote
livewire Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Here: http://www.trendsetter.com/product-p/lsk389b%20to-71.htm Quote
livewire Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) You're welcome. What are you building? KGSSHV? Edited January 19, 2013 by livewire Quote
Pixiy Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 I want to build a headamp with HV's input state and T2's output stae, but I am not really sure how to do. Quote
kevin gilmore Posted January 19, 2013 Author Report Posted January 19, 2013 That's basically a BH Kerry has a slightly different design with the kgsshv input stage, The active battery and the t2 output stage. Quote
kevin gilmore Posted January 19, 2013 Author Report Posted January 19, 2013 Definitely alive and very busy with work. Same with me. Hopefully this will change for both of us Soon 1 Quote
JensH Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Err, which part of it would you like to change? I hope you mean the work part Quote
wink Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 "Definitely alive and very busy with work.Same with me.Hopefully this will change for both of usSoon "Hope this doesn't mean you'll be made redundant as I was at the end of November....... Quote
eggil Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Does that mean you will have more time to design amplifiers? Quote
wink Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 No, just more time to finish the two KGSSHV's in between job-hunting. Quote
Pixiy Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 I tried to pm to Kerry but he didn't reply. Maybe I need to do a new layout by myself... Quote
Kerry Posted January 24, 2013 Report Posted January 24, 2013 Definitely alive I've been out of pocket, but will get back on the design over the weekend. Quote
n_maher Posted January 24, 2013 Report Posted January 24, 2013 Good to know you're still around, Kerry. Don't be such a stranger. Quote
