I later thought I could have drilled a hole and tapped it M3 a little higher up the heatsink, but thought the loss of mounting surface on the device would be overly compromised. Quote

eggil Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 When I test the 4686 transistors I get an unexpected reading using my DMM and only with the transistors in the middle (red arrows, and on both boards): Collector to emitter: 0.75 V On the rest of the 4686's: OL Both base-collector and collector-emitter conduct one way only as expected. Why do I get those readings only with the middle ones and not the rest? both boards? At first I thought they were damaged but its to much of a coincidence with the same ones on both boards. Quote

Vishay is basically an umbrella for everything now but they do own BC (aka Philips) so that opens up a lot of good stuff.
