bhjazz Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Gonna try to remember to order a M2Tech hiFace this weekend. Too cheap to pass up. This will secretly eat into my stash and prevent me from even thinking about the JH13Pro.
bhjazz Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 Ran across to the other site to see what's going on with the HiFace. Who is this leeperry feller who loaded the thread with crap? What a dick.
bhjazz Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 Just ordered the M2Tech Hiface. What the hell. I'll be plugging it into a Theta Casanova which has their 24/96 DAC.
Edwood Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 Anyone else try out the Halide Design Bridge further? I like the "true plug and play" aspect of it.
padam Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Yes. The sound is very different to the CD transport I used before it, I will report back in a few days if interested. The bottom line is: all these USB converter thingies do matter a lot to the sound so if a DAC has mediocre USB input, it might worth to use something better.
digger945 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Yep. It's not weird or different to me any more. It took me some time to get used to. I like it, but I'm game to try something new now. You got it plugged into the 1600?
padam Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Yes, I feel that my system is sounding a bit too smooth now at times, although crappier recordings are much easier to listen to and it is easier on the ears. Plus the soundstage got a lot bigger and better defined. The amp I use is only a temporary solution and handicapping the performance, might get something that is brighter. Is there a movie player which I can use with this? I need 24bit data support format of course.
