blessingx Posted April 28, 2013 Report Posted April 28, 2013 Have no idea of your tablets limitations, but the V-Links always look a good option.
forbigger Posted April 28, 2013 Report Posted April 28, 2013 my tablet is just an acer w510, its atom processor tablet running w8. i plan to use it solely as transport only with occasional browsing on it. mind me, but isnt vlinks in around the same league as trends audio converter ? thanks
skullguise Posted April 28, 2013 Report Posted April 28, 2013 I had an MHDT Labs USBridge and it supported 24/192. Only literally used it once, but it seemed to work fine. Here is a Musiland converter that seems to be similar, and is cheaper. The VLink 2 handles 24/192 and has AES/EBU output which I like, and isn't so much more at $200. Then there's the HiFace 2, not sure of price, but that also does 24/192 max as well.
Dusty Chalk Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 So folks, any advise or maybe just stick with my current converter? Im a bit skeptic when comes to the usefulness of this gizmo outside from converting digital usb to digital audio, but I'm not expert.....Thanks in advance..... Yeah, me too. I mean, I understand the benefit of going asynchronous, but other than that, I just don't get it. Most DACses' inputs are just cheap PLL's anyways.
forbigger Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 looks like I'll try K3ct legato first and decide......1k to throw at usb/spdif converter (audiophilleo and battery pack) sounds a bit far fetched for me......
