TheSloth Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=MDRD777LP&DCMP=Redirect_ss_MDRRD777LP Looks scarily similar to triports in some ways... But it is a new contender in the closed headphone market, and seems to have something PTH like built in. Ultrasone also have announced their Edition 9, which seems to be a repackaged Edition 7. Quote
TheSloth Posted October 12, 2006 Author Report Posted October 12, 2006 They're the new high end "eggos" Is that a good thing? Quote
deepak Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Is that a good thing? I have no idea, I've never heard any of the eggos. A lot of people like them at Headfi, the MDR-D66 is quite famous. I think the appeal is that it's a cheap sealed (foldable?) headphone that usually priced at around $100. Quote
tkam Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 If they are actually along the same line as the D66's they could be pretty good. But knowing Sony I'm sure they'll be awful Quote
ayt999 Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 I'll think I'll stick with my MDR-D77. Quote
NotoriousBIG_PJ Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 d66 sounds very close to the ipod earbuds. And the earbuds are more portable and if you get them with a shuffle, the whole package is less then the d66. Pass... Biggie. Quote
aerius Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 You can always count on Biggie's love of Sonys. Quote
