Currawong Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 (edited) I didn't see this posted anywhere already, but when I saw "balanced I/O" I immediately checked the price...bit steep though at around 600 Euro yet doesn't have Firewire. The VGA plug break-out cable will make DIY dead easy though, and it's not recessed like the Duet's. grawk Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 gotta love marketspeak. Because it has adat IO, it claims 22 channels (2 spdif out, 8 adat in, 8 adat out, 2 analog in, 2 analog out). MIDI is a nice addition, tho Quote
Currawong Posted April 16, 2010 Author Report Posted April 16, 2010 I don't know anything about ADAT, but it does look like the tried to include everything but the kitchen sink just about. Quote

jp11801 Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 if it sounds like the FW400 I'd pass but maybe they've made some improvements Quote
deepak Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 firewire 400 is too slow? Doubt it. I think most modern Macs are on FW800 now. Quote
jinp6301 Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 (edited) oh, so it wouldnt be a problem so whats the problem here? Edited April 17, 2010 by jinp6301 Quote
mypasswordis Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 They didn't end up including the babies' faces. Quote
jp11801 Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 sorry for the derail I meant the RME Fire Face 400, this was their stand alone fire wire solution that I owned for about 5 minutes as it sucked balls sonically and quit working on day one Quote
