grawk Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 If SJ wins, there's hope for perenial playoff crappers, like the caps next year
Voltron Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 That's just not right. Bad Dan. Sorry, V, I will be [passively] pulling for the Sharks as well.
penger Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 Sharks don't have a good record against Detroit this year... As a Norcal'er, here's hoping things are different this time around.
deepak Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 I see Detroit beating SJ in another game 7.
skullguise Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 I'd like to think San Jose beat their demons by getting past round 1, but not too sure. If the Red Wings play like they did in game 7, SJ is in for some tough road. I also think Vancouver and Chicago will be a great series to watch, some real excitement there. I think Vancouver will squeak by, with goaltending being the difference. As for the East, I'm hoping the Bruins take the Flyers in fewer than 7. Flyers are a gritty, strong team, but injuries may be taking their toll. Carter and Lapierre likely out most or all series. But the Bruins have gone to sleep before, so we'll see. Should be a chippy series, maybe even more so than Buffalo; they always play each other tough. And sorry to the other Todd, but I would love to see Montreal take Pittsburgh. Would love it if Habs and Bruins met again, but for the East final..... "Everybody's on their feet, yelling 'Kill! Kill! Kill!' .....THIS....IS.....HOCKEY....!" -- Jim Carr, Slapshot EDIT: does Boudreau (sp?) survive in Washington next year?
robm321 Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Sharks Win!!! It's going to be a tough series. Detroit is not going to go down easy. I'd also like to think that the Sharks overcame their floppiness in the post season. So far, so good. We'll see...
GPH Posted April 30, 2010 Author Report Posted April 30, 2010 Sharks ftw! I have a feeling it'll be a good year for them, they're playing some solid hockey right now. Deepak, are you going to edit my thread title again? It brought luck the first time around.

Deepak, are you going to edit my thread title again? It brought luck the first time around. You have Pittsburgh beating your team in post 72, I don't think you need any more luck
tom_hankins Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Sharks ftw! I have a feeling it'll be a good year for them, they're playing some solid hockey right now. Deepak, are you going to edit my thread title again? It brought luck the first time around. Just winning game one of series is a big deal for the sharks. Maybe they can get the monkey off there back this year.
boomana Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Maybe they can get the monkey off there back this year. I sure hope not.
tom_hankins Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 I sure hope not. I'm with you on this one! I would love to see either the Wings or Chicago get out of the west.
boomana Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 Watching Bruins/Flyers right now. Looks like Boston has this one, but I'm still pulling for the Flyers...year after year...I have no idea why...
boomana Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 (edited) So things are getting interesting now. Flyers came back in the late third and Boucher is getting slammed here in the opening few of OT but making great saves. Good hockey. Go Flyers! EDIT: Well, bah. Edited May 1, 2010 by boomana
skullguise Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 EDIT: Well, yah. Fixed this for.....me I'm loving that Marc Savard got the game-winner. Only wish it was against Pittsburgh. But seeing the way they played Montreal, I think we would have gotten our butts kicked almost as hard.
boomana Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 Blackhawks are getting beat up. Can't say I'm minding that one little bit
boomana Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 Loved the 3rd period Hoping the Wings can remember they're the Wings again tonight.
GPH Posted May 2, 2010 Author Report Posted May 2, 2010 31 shots in the last two periods for Pittsburgh, 9 for Montreal. I hope Markov's injury is not too serious, but I fear the worst.
boomana Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 I hope Markov's injury is not too serious, but I fear the worst. "Apparent knee injury" never sounds good.
boomana Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 This was a fun goal to watch: http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=35&id=68260
boomana Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 Intense first period Wings/Sharks. I gotta say that the Sharks are outplaying the Wings right now, but that first Sharks pp goals should never have happened. I'm not really one to complain about ref calls, but goalie interference, my arse. PP should never have happened. Great acting job on Nabakov's part.
GPH Posted May 3, 2010 Author Report Posted May 3, 2010 I'm watching the 3rd right now, exciting game! The Wings were very unlucky on that 4th goal by the Sharks.
boomana Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 damn damn damn damn damn damn damn.................................................
boomana Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 Serious weird penalty calls on both sides throughout. I wonder how the game might have been.
