skullguise Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Wow, nice play by Montreal tonight! Upsets have indeed been happening..... Bruins and Sabres were close in scoring, and it was pretty much what I expected: Sabres carry the play as a better skilled team, Bruins fight hard with heart for at least some of the game, Rask keeps them in it. Didn't get it this time, but maybe Saturday. But the Habs, dare I say it was almost a pleasure to watch them play! Blasphemy! As a Boston fan, bummed and a bit jealous. As a hockey fan, impressed.....
darthsilverice Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Just got back from the Canucks game. My first ever playoff game and the experience was amazing. Probably sat in the worst seats at GM place but the view was more than satisfactory. I mean I witnessed luongo's crazy glove save in OT, game winner in OT, 2 fights between fans and security, and 2 men in green spandex. What more can I ask for:). penger Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Oh man. Just finished watching the Sharks game. Was a great one!
GPH Posted April 17, 2010 Author Report Posted April 17, 2010 Oh man. Just finished watching the Sharks game. Was a great one! Nice! When I looked at the score before going to sleep, they were losing. San Jose is my team in the West, go Sharks! Just got back from the Canucks game. Good stuff, the worst places are where the ambiance is the best most of the time, at least that's how it is here.
tom_hankins Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Lots of good hockey last night!! Buffalo/Bruins this afternoon, then up all night again.
aardvark baguette Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Saw this the other night, must have sucked. YouTube - Andy Sutton Huge Hit on Jordan Leopold 4/16/10
penger Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Nice! When I looked at the score before going to sleep, they were losing. San Jose is my team in the West, go Sharks! Man was it close... I haven't seen that many Sharks games but they seemed much more antsy this game vs. what I've seen in the regular season. Either nervous or sense of urgency. Whatever the case I'm glad they got it done instead of going down 0-2.
aardvark baguette Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Tonight's CAPS game gave me gray hair I think.
skullguise Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 ^^ Funny that...... Heck of a game last night for the Habs/Caps. Not loving or hating either team, and dang it's been fun to watch. Glad the Bruins came back and won; WTF is up with Michael Ryder scoring again all of a sudden?!
GPH Posted April 20, 2010 Author Report Posted April 20, 2010 Oh man, that was an ugly game. The Habs started like lions, but that lasted about 25 minutes. After that, complete domination by the Caps, it was not even funny. At least I had fun with friends and the beer helped digesting the defeat... thrill of victory, agony of defeat they say. \
cetoole Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 Oh man, that was an great game. The Habs started like lions, but that lasted about 25 minutes (hehe). aardvark baguette Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 varlamov was terrific, i thought.
Genetic Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Guillaume your chances of seeing Montreal wins this series are somewhere near the center... Amicalement
GPH Posted April 21, 2010 Author Report Posted April 21, 2010 Guillaume your chances of seeing Montreal wins this series are somewhere near the center... Amicalement On the other hand, that could be a photo of what Montreal's downtown will look like when the Habs win this series.
grawk Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 The habs played their best game of the year tonight.
GPH Posted April 22, 2010 Author Report Posted April 22, 2010 They played a good game overall, except for two major fails by Hamrlik and that goddamn #8 from the visiting team.
aardvark baguette Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Last 10 seconds of the 2nd period, I could literally feel the human spirit of the audience being snuffed out.
skullguise Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 I was hoping the Habs would take this series. As mentioned in the Bruins suck eggs thread, I've actually kind of enjoyed watching Montreal this year. I would have LOVED to see all the lower seeds upset the higher seeds in the East. Philly did it, looks like the Bruins may; was hoping Ottawa and Montreal could, too. Fingers still crossed, but it's an uphill battle for them both.....
GPH Posted April 24, 2010 Author Report Posted April 24, 2010 Verizon Center technicians -> Fail Montreal performance -> Pretty good, but the Caps didn't show up tonight Jaroslav Halak -> Epic goaltending!
grawk Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 halak was great. smaller pads next year are gonna hurt his game
boomana Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 Yay to the Wings for taking last night's game, though I fell asleep before the third period. It was nice to wake up to that win.
