Grahame Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Pop music review of the decade, noughties, 00s - Telegraph Ok, so its a UK-centric view, but "kidz on da street", did they miss anything? "Landfill Indie", hadn't heard that before, but its pretty descriptive
Duggeh Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 My 00s music review: Einaudi did a lot of awesome. The X-Factor did a lot of shite. Mike Oldfield did a few albums. One was poor, one was fucking awesome, the others were okay. Best album (off top of head): Crash Test Dummies - Songs Of The Unforgiven.
Spiug31 Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 It's bizarre there is no mention of the Sugababes, first hit in 2001, 25 singles since then, 17 in the UK top 10 and still going. KT Tunstall is one artist I really like.
Spiug31 Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 might have been more interesting if the writers had started by looking at what had been on "Later..._with_Jools_Holland" throughout the decade. Some really good tunes and artists Later... with Jools Holland - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
