CD44hi Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 I've been trying to determine if this error is something happening on my side or it's the domain I am trying to access that's having the issue. I did a search on this type of error, but honestly I could not understand the jargon on some of the sites.... One suggestion is that this is a error message when there is some maintenance or the site simply is down... I tried two different machines and no luck, same message (two browsers as well firefox and IE.) Any suggestions, appreciated! [basically, what I'd like to know is if there is anything I can try on my side] This is specifically what I get: ERROR Access Denied Access Denied by security policy The security policy for your network prevents your request from being allowed at this time. Please contact your administrator if you feel this is incorrect.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 What are you doing at the time this occurs? PS (I have no idea, I'm just asking the first question that occurs to me.)
Pars Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 Work doesn't like you trying to access porn sites?
CD44hi Posted November 30, 2009 Author Report Posted November 30, 2009 Just trying to visit this website for a storage facility (in fact trying to pay online for my storage unit, but I get the error)..... I can see, through google, cached webpages, but as soon as I try any of the links directly on the page, it gives the error. Self Storage Units at Extra Space Storage: Mini Storage Facilities does this work fine for you? Thanks
CD44hi Posted November 30, 2009 Author Report Posted November 30, 2009 hum... OK, thanks! I'll try to pay over the phone then.
Torpedo Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 It doesn't work for me on Firefox/WinXP. I'm not behind a proxy nor a corporate network, I'm at home and I don't have other safety measures than Windows firewall, Avast antivirus and Spybot resident. Tried on IE and Chrome, without success
CD44hi Posted November 30, 2009 Author Report Posted November 30, 2009 thanks for the feedback! Maybe something to do with access from overseas.... Weird though, I had accessed the webpage many times from overseas.
Torpedo Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 It must be something related to the IP. I've been able to access by using a web proxy: [url=http://proxify.co.uk/]Proxify
Dusty Chalk Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 It's probably the country you're in -- incompatible encryptions. You probably have the "correct" version of your browser for outside the US, and they're probably trying to use US. Or vice versa. Or something like that.
Spiug31 Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 working fine for me with firefox and WinXP
