In memory of those who did not return. This Remembrance day is the first once since WW1 where there now remain no surviving British soldiers. The last two of those living emblems of history died in the last 6 months or so. Henry Allingham and Harry Patch. Aged 113 and 111 respectively.

There now remain only three surviving veterans from World War One who can be accounted for. One British-Austrailian Chief Demolition Officer, Seaman Claude Choules. One non-combat Canadian-American Sergeant John Babcock. and American transport-trooper Corporal Frank Buckles.
